It was but then it turned into another bash GM because of a bailout. Regardless if they still make great cars. I'm glad to see all the Ford loyalists here but I am not a loyalist to one brand just prefer American made. Ford makes a great mustang and a very good truck. The focus seems to be getting better. GM makes a great truck and full size SUV. Camaro is ugly but a great car and the Vette is always fantastic. Chrysler sucks but the challenger is beautiful. Bailout should have nothing to do with buying a great vehicle.

the focus being one of the best selling small cars of all time is just ok and getting better?? The only thing worth a darn GM makes is the vett.

The focus was a POS when it came out. Now it has to get over the POS image it still carries. It is a hell of a lot better now.
GM's trucks and SUV's are still top notch. Expedition and explorer have nothing on the Tahoe and Yukon. I prefer the GM truck engine option over the Ford trucks. The base truck V8 (5.0) is really lacking compared to GM's 5.3. The ecoboost is just stupid IMO.

I think letting the old V8 sedan thing die is the best way to let the old good stuff live and gain value.

Nah man. V8 rwd sedans are definitely wanted and needed at least here in the south. Just wish the SS would be a little bit bigger. Still should be a great car.

I wouldn't call it "gross." I'd go with monumentally underwhelming. While in detail it has improved, the overall look externally is inferior to the current-gen Commodore. The interior is better, but not especially pleasing or inviting.

Now this is a bit more like it, the Holden VF Commodore SS V show car:

I imagine this is closer to what the Chevy SS will look like. Might chose a different color, but it looks to be a suitable successor to the G8 GXP.

Those actually look great.

I really want a RWD sedan. That way I can haul my future family and have fun too!

They want to sell it here as a niche product. Niche products have to do better than "ok" if they want to last.
