It looks WAY better in motion.. thanks for linking the video... I wasn't thrilled with it until I saw the reflections move across the body. I still wish the headlights were more "snake eye" shaped, but this will do. this is Hot.

Chrysler sucks and the viper has never impressed me. I really have never seen the need for the V10. SVT is pumping out more hp than that thing with the 2013 Shelby. ZR1 vette has way better styling than the viper also. If you're going for an exotic type vehicle, buy and exotic. I just don't see why anyone would op to buy that thing.

I love Vipers simply because they're different than Italians. When I picture a Ferrari driver, its probably somebody who never got his hands dirty in his/her life.
Viper is like a Harley Davidsons on 4 wheels.

I've always seen the Viper as a failed attempt at an American supercar. Ford GT was a much better attempt. But I may be biased knowing what I do know about Chrysler. And I just think that it's fugly.

I was shop foreman for a Chrysler dealership. Absolute garbage. Control systems and electronics are the worst I've ever seen. Terrible engineering. They do use great automatic transmissions. I'll give them that. The hemi motors are just ok. Not bad. Styling, well that's just a matter of opinion. Basically engineering and materials used are something that should be straight out of Mexico for half the price.

Fugly. Yuck. And remember, HEMI is just a badge, Chrysler hasn't produced a "HEMI" engine since the 70's.

Yeah but it was a big block. It's really only a reference to valve configuration also. It is a fairly reliable motor though. At least compared to chryslers base engines.

I had a lot of issues with the automatic transmission on my 1997 Dodge Intrepid. It was pretty much dead at 110,000 miles. I sold the car in 2008 when I bought my Fusion.

Dodge has had problems with their transmissions for some time now, I had a dodge d350 with tranny problems at 110000 miles as well. It still drove but didn't like O/D

Fwd transaxle. Completely different animal. I only buy rwd vehicles and those trannys are very good. Normal passenger car drivetrain. You couldn't pay me to own a Chrysler. But you can pretty much base Chrysler on that intrepid you owned. Garbage.

Just a set of solenoids and pressure switches usually fixes those. No hard parts failures usually.

I still think this is as close to a modern Daytona Coupe. Which is awesome to me.

dont like the front fascia (why couldn't they use the one on the GTS-R!) but everything aft of the front fenders is very nice and reminiscent of the original GTS.

Still fugly. Looks like an old Viper ran over the new Dart. I dunno...never been a Viper guy, or much of a MOPAR fan. Oh well...someone will love it and that's cool I suppose.

If I want a modern day Daytona Coupe, I'll spend it on a Superformance Daytona Coupe which for the money is just AMAZING!!!

That 2013 Viper is just gorgeous. Looks much better than the Corvette. Corvettes are just too plain looking for me. The Viper is full of style. An all aluminum big V10 engine makes it even more desirable. Just wonder how much the Viper will sell for. If I could afford a Viper, I would buy one.

I would agree with you but that coupe is far from cheap. Just a heads up, the last Viper absolutely destroyed the Superformance Daytona in performance. Ok so destroyed is a stretch. I'd love to have the Daytona with the new engine line. Possibly a 500Hp 5.0 aluminator. That would do the trick.

I know I'm bumping a dead thread here, but I figured this was the right thread for this rather than making a new one..

Have any of you seen this thing yet? IMO the best thing to come out of the Chrysler/fiat relationship so far.

It's a limited production Alfa Romeo TZ3 Zagato, using the chassis of the 8c supercar with the V10 from the viper ACR. WOW.
