I've been trying to learn a bit more about the import world lately, and i found this link in a thread about cool stuff on a Miata forum. They have a bunch of tight V8 swaps too, though they seem to favor the LSx over the SBF

That's because the LSx engine family is easier to fit in tight locations (lower profile intake manifold + no distributor) and simply makes more power in stock form. Cheap hp/dollar by virtue of so many of them being available in a variety of corporate GM vehicles over the years.

Dang imagine an lsx in a 2003 miata! If the tourqe and hp dont tear the chassis apart its gonna be one serius monster. Ive seen a lambo engine in a mustang body so anything is possible these days. Just the ,oney to pay for it all is the barrier
