2012 Honda Civic
yeah.. I see the insight... but i think the insight stole the prius look... its all looking the same, and I don't like any of it. the current civic looks better in my opinion.
Waaaay back in the day, Civics were pretty cutting edge cars, not only in technology, but also in styling. Now it seems that they've settled into a competent, complacent mediocrity, competing with Toyota as to who can make the most benign, "beige" transportation appliances. Granted, as ever, there will typically be little "wrong" with the next Civic -- it will be well built, reliable, comfortable and efficient -- but a mere notch up in soullessness from, say, a Toyota Corolla.
I think cars such as the Mini, Fiesta, Mazda 2 or 3 are the far more interesting vehicles in this class.

But anyway, I agree with your statement.
The only problem is, for every 25-year-old who wants a Mazda3 there are five 45-year-olds who wants a Corolla. And that's why boring companies like Toyota are on the top and Mazda ... well, haven't seen any sales increase in a long time.

Except reputation for reliability and resale value.
Although Ford did a great job with current Focus. I read somewhere that Focus is the most reliable car in the USA, followed by a Mustang, Taurus, Hyundai Accent and Honda Accord.
