I hope this isn't old news, but the 2011 392 Challenger is running some amazing times at the track.

That number was put up by a good driver. He had nearly no wheel spin leaving the line. A lot of people who don't drag race don't realize that the 60' time is the most important in order to put up a good 1/4 mile time. Very impressive.
nice white/blue lemans stripes.
This 392 should be the standard SRT-8, the old SRT-8 6.1 the new R\T, ditch the old R\T 5.7 (or make it some standard stripper V8), and the new V6 the, well, new V6.
Oh, and the pricing stays the same as the current versions.

Riiiiight. A "Z28" is not needed to hand that its tail-lights. 475 is no where close to a minimum 556. Yawn, next.

My question is how much does that model cost? The "standard" SRT8 starts at 44K. This should be squarely into GT-500 territory (where Id guestimate a theoretical Z28 would be as well) price wise but would be hard pressed to keep up in that arena performance wise.
Owch 1.821 60' on Radials Stock too:

H Uhhh, not neccessarily, a Well Euipped Auto GT or a Conv. Like mine is the Same Price as a Stripper SRT8. And their Very Very Close in Performance, and the fact that the SRT8 did a 1.820 60' on Street tires means that an Auto 5.0 will most likely Lose a 1/4 mile race as only the auto's with Converter or Blower cars are Launching that good....Better be at the TOP of your game if ya decide to run one...,
