Looks cool,
window in the hood...
they did make an effort to make it look different then a a normal vette but i still don't think its enough for the price tag this car will have.

Wow, that thingg's gonna be a beast! Carbon brakes with the rear discs as big as and Ferrari 599/Enzo's front's! And most cars on the road don't have wheels as big as the 15.5 discs up fornt. All the other carbon body bits are cool too, especially the clear-coat roof whose clearcoat costs 2 grand a gallon because is has an anti-yellowing additive that runs a cool $60 grand a jug. Even went so far as to lower the whole motor so as not to make too big a hood bulge and screw up the sight lines. The rear wheels look like they simple wrapped big, black rubber bands around the rims, what with the 25 aspect ratio. No word on actual performace, but replacing the ZO6's 200 mph speedo with a 220 unit certainly gives a clear hint.
About the only thing I don't like is the aesthetics of the hood. It looks like the top of the powerdome was ground down flat with a floor sander and the window looks a bit pretentious -- while the motor will surely make some lovely numbers and noises, it ain't a looker like a Lambo Gallardo or Ferrari 430.
Wonder what the Monroney will be on this pup -- guessing about $100 big -- never mind the ADM.
Of course, it'll be easily dispatched by Ford's incredible new, errrrr, well, nevermind.

I am not a Corvette lover by any means, but I am a sucker for a blue car! Especially when you can get one with matching calipers!!!
Jetstream Blue is a SWEET color I gotta say!! And I thought this car was only coming as a sequential automatic? Oh and I don't want to even think of the ADMs' this car will have! MIND BLOWING!!!

I dig it! Not a fan of the chrome wheels, but I am not a fan of any chrome wheels.
If I were had the choice I think I'd want the ZR-1 drivetrain, brakes, etc. wrapped in a Z06 body with Z06 wheels/tires. Or maybe just add the Z06 wheels to the ZR-1.

So for $100K+ you get something that looks like a Z06 with some aftermarket kit. Nice. If it weren't for the window in the hood, I'd have a hell of a time telling this apart from the 706 without a good look.

Seriously, something instantly recognizable (like the GT-500), would have killed them?

Still, all these super performance cars are amazing. I think this will be the last we'll see of supercars before the government forces us all to drive biofart-enhanced pedalmobile hybrid cars.

I'm glad they did keep the styling tasteful and somewhat understated and rather, focused so much on improving the car itself. Certainly there are more than enough cues that the knowing will recognize it readily enough and the dull will get educated as soon as the driver flexes his right Florshiem Ambrose. Of course, the peacocks can always tart up the SR-1 after the fact, presuming the ADMs don't suck their wallets hollow.
Way cool detail, look at the embossing on the intake duct ;-) That's the kind of understated detail for the thinking man that I love.

I'm sure anyone in the market for a 100K vette will have no problems with the ADM's. 2000 a year for 4 more years. 8000 total, I'm sure every one will have ADM's.
You guys kill me with the looks stuff. This is a Vette bottom line not another car a la Ford GT. Theres not near as much you can do to a vette to distinguish it from another such as is possible with a Shelby GT500. The nose on it is 5 times taller so of course there is much more you can do to distinguish it. Sure they could bolt up another front end with different scoops and scallops but on a vette it would look tacky. Muscle cars such as a mustang can pull it off and look good. Streamlined cars, not so much and still keep it slippery. Theres as much differentiating the viper ACR from the regular viper save for that gaudy *** paint job yet it didn't have much at all in the powertrain department and was pretty much a hit here. Dunno must be a hate GM thing
. Personally I'll take the operating differences over asthetics anyday and there is a huge difference in that department. Keep the cheap paint job and minor handling increases Give me power, better handling, and much lighter/stronger body and I'm sold.
I can spot a z06 from a while off anyday, this has more to distinguish it than the Z06 did I'm sure I'll have no problems spotting it if I ever get to see one.
Just imagine what you could do with 620 off the showroom floor, Titanuim rods, forged steel crank, forged pistons, steel liners, 4 layer head gaskets, dry sump oiling, piston squirters, 4 lobe 2.3L supercharger with intercooler, Carbon fiber fenders, roof, etc, tightened chassis, better NVH etc. Thats the point not whether or not it shares the same overal styling as a truly lesser version of the same car.
