TCC has spy shots of the redesigned S80.

its disguised and has the grill of an old pontiac grand prix. its kinda hard to get a good idea of the front end styling. They say there could be a version with the new V8 from the XC90 (the yamaha engine, 4.4 litres and 311 hp, i believe).

That is one hell of a disguise! If you hadn't told me it was a Volvo, I would never have guessed!

Nice find

Hope that nose isn't a final production piece. Looks like a Grand Prix with that thing, or a BMW.

I guess you missed the part in his post where he said they put a Grand Prix nose on it to disguise it.

actually, that's just me saying it looks like a grand prix... but they say in the article that it's heavily disguized, and they often make test cars look like other ones. Motor Trend had a shot of the upcoming Bentley sedan based on the Continental GT, but it was disguised to look like a mercedes S-class.

If you look close, it really looks like that nose is tacked on and the grill is like 6 inches insed those holes. I'm guessin they're not gonna make that crazy a change to their styling. The new s40 and v50 really establish a nice theme for volvo, i think they'll stick with that.
