is anyone else upset at the new Dodge Charger? i mean what happend? i can understand wanthing to make something new, but they made the same mistake pontiac did, reviving an old name with a huge fanbase and then just 100% missing the boat on styling cues. in my opinion you can ressurect a decades old name and make it ... well i cant even find words to describe it
it looks just like a magnum or 300c
and 4 doors, 4 DOORS
please tell me that there are other sane people out there that are upset by this

i regard myslef as sane, but i love the car. better than the 300 IMO. unlike this thing you all call "normal people" i love the looks.

i like it n the Magnum, but no the 300. i see a great sedan out here.
maybe im just too young to appreciate the use of the charger name yeah thats prolly it. but hey, im 15. im invincible

I'm not upset about it being a 4-door (afterall, it was slapped on a sporty 2-door Omni in the 80's). I am upset about it being the 2nd ugliest sedan sold in America by the Big 3 (the Chevy Malibu still rules that roost)

 

I like the new styles Daimler Chrysler is bringing out. This Charger is a great looking Sedan, but it is no Charger

 

I love the 300C myself, but I honestly don't get it with the Charger. The headlights are ill-shaped, the grille is unattractive and leans forward in way that looks awkward on the car, the knock-off Hoffmeister kink in the rear door is odd looking, and the rear-end looks like a warmed over Intrepid.

Sorry if I sound like I'm attacking people's taste in cars or something. That's not my intent, I just genuinely don't get it. Would one of you guys who likes this car please explain it to me??

i dont know why. i just like it. i really like the front end (especially the lights) and the hips

i guess its all personal taste. the 300C is ok, but i dont like it nearly as much. but i think they're both better than the mainstream blah-blah sedans out there.

dont care too much about the rear, its not the best, but it doesnt stink. its hard to admit, but this is one of....uh... 3 four doored modern cars i can honestly say i like. theother two being the Lincoln LS and the Aussie Ford Falcon :P

and Q'res, dont worry, i dont take it as an attack. we all have our preferences. i respect yours and im glad you respect (even if you dont particularly agree with) mine

i just like it. cars are like chicks, they all have their own good qualities and not everyone values the same traits

 

All I can say is if this doesn't finally kill the name CHARGER I don't know what will!

 

Here's an idea for a 06 charger commercial. Why don't they bring back the original dukes of hazard cast and have them all in the nursing home. There all in front of the TV watching dukes of hazard re-runs. The 4-door 06 charger can be parked outside the nursing home.

Don't know about that Arin...I'm actually starting to like the 300C/Magnum alot. I'm still getting used to the Charger though. As someone previously said, its a great looking sedan, BUT IT AIN'T NO CHARGER!

 

Its starting to look that way :P
