That horizontal body panel gap separates the steel rear quarter panel and the plastic rocker panel. the 2015 mustang has the same thing but they did it lower on the body side.

Yes, I was aware of that btw . I don't want everyone to think I'm 'tarded. I think they could've made the line much lower or just designed it like cars in the past without multi-piece quarter sections.

I will admit though,......as much as I hate the exterior, I do like the interior. All new and totally improved in my opinion. Nice interior.

 

Anythings an improvement over the 2015 camaro interior. I just find it a little busy by the center vents, but other than that it's a big improvement.

 

Yeah,.....a huge improvement.
All the years before this were ugly. Looked like a spaceship cockpit. lol

 

I'm not a fan of the air vents in the lower center but interior looks really nice.

 

I don't understand why the car companies are using vents as styling features. I would rather have small discreet vents that blend into the dash design instead of being so prominent. As far as I am concerned, I would like to see Ford turn all their current center dash vents into gauges. Ford could put some inconspicuous slit like vents along side the gauges to provide all needed ventilation.

 

You could say the same on the various mustang forums about the 2015 mustang that majority of guys are very disappointed and dislike the styling yet the sales numbers are excellent. So that doesn't mean anything on those forums.
