'12 MKZ rear - thoughts?

What do you guys think of this black out look for the rear?

Or possible a shade in between?? Any input is welcome

Well I'm done with the mustang and driving a 12 MKZ now- and am looking at what to do with it.

Thinking the above. rims, lower it, few other odds and ends...

for rims. currently I like Vossen VVS083 wheels (in a 19/20" format)... but still exploring.

I did this on MS Paint... so don't hate on the POS-ness chop.

I like the lights and all but those rims are definitely not my thing.

Sort of interesting, but perhaps better on another car. The rear of the MKZ already is rather tall and narrow in its aspect ratio and the blackout only seems to enhance this sense of visual mass way on up high.

Unfortunately, this high-waisted, large surface area panel-van proportioning is endemic to most current designs, including the MKZ, so I would be more interested in stylistic features that reduce this implied mass and height. While perhaps practical, in a panel-van sort of way, I prefer a lower, leaner, longer look to upscale cars.
