08 SRT8 Challenger $67035.00
For 2008 The GT500 is rated 14 & 20.
Although I routinely get over 22 MPG in mine on the highway...

The early 2007's were rated at 15 & 21, then Ford revised it... I have a picture of the early window sticker somewhere, If I find it I will post it...

Regardless of their cons, and weight, I still think the Hemi Orange Challenger R/T is one bad-*** looking car. If I didn't owe so much on my GT, than I know I would gladly give up my Stang for that tangerine.

This is the window sticker from a 08 SRT8 Challenger I looked at tonight. It was selling for for $67,035.00.

Thats an ADM of $25,000.
They said they have turned down offers of $15,000 over MSRP...
That's **** near enough to buy a new Mustang GT more than I paid for my 2008 GT500 ...
It is probably why they had 5 of them on the lot two 3.5 liter SE's, two R/T 5.7's all sitting outside in the rain and this SRT8 in the showroom next to a viper on sale for $92.000...

I guess someone forgot to tell them that we're in a recession; people can't pay their mortgages; gas prices are up; and the stock market **** near collapsed...
...and that it's a DODGE, not a Ferrari.
Hold on for the fire sale after these things sit for a few months...
Here in my neck of the woods there is a local dealer selling a GT500 (which retails at $58K CDN) for $70K. When he told me that I just started laughing at him.
FINALLY saw a Challenger out on the street. Dang - it's a pretty big car! (I think the current Mustang is on the big side as well). As for the asking price, meh - unless they're flush w/cash - very foolish to refuse the offer of $15k over...
As for Black GT500 pulling 22mpg on the highway - wish my '92 5.0 could get close to that! LOL. (more like CryOL)

I got my 08 in August for almost 5k off, brand new. Right now, if you are not a fan of the 2010, GO GET AN 08!!!. Thats a great deal on them and you could have them come down more.
Also, they had 09 for 2k off but I doubt much room to negotiate for now.
