08 SRT8 Challenger $67035.00

This is the window sticker from a 08 SRT8 Challenger I looked at tonight. It was selling for for $67,035.00.

Thats an ADM of $25,000.
They said they have turned down offers of $15,000 over MSRP...

That's **** near enough to buy a new Mustang GT more than I paid for my 2008 GT500 ...

It is probably why they had 5 of them on the lot two 3.5 liter SE's, two R/T 5.7's all sitting outside in the rain and this SRT8 in the showroom next to a viper on sale for $92.000...

Id rather pay 30grand for an R/T its almost as fast and looks pretty much the same I don't need all the luxury stuff the SRT8 comes with.

I am actually going car-shopping tomorrow. Will be trading in my 07 Redfire GT with 11,200 miles on it for a 2009 Challenger R/T, HEMI Orange, loaded minus MYGIG and Sunroof. If I can't find a match, I am definitely going to be ordering one and waiting a month for it to arrive. I figure I can pick one up for around $33ish, prolly 30ish if I can work my magic.

There will probably be some idiot with too much money that'll pay it.
Theres a Ford dealer by me that has a GT500KR. They were offered 100K for it and turned it down. I think they are asking 117K for it.

It's sp funny that with the economy going to siht, that dealers would still mark up thier cars. It just dosent make sence.

Dang that extra 50hp really sucks the mileage right outta the challenger, i can't beleive the the SRT loses 7 mpg on hwy over the RT!

What kind of mileage is the GT500 rated?

i'm sure that's true but the fact is we saw the same such foolishness from ford dealers when the GT 500 came out...only now that the car's been out a while and the economy is in the toilet are we seeing more "reasonable" offers on a GT500...
