Winter Storage
Storage as in store-age, means putting the car away for 5 looooooooong months so it doesn't turn into a rust bucket in 15 years. I'm already signed up at the same place as last year, (price went up). But I'm aiming for Mid-Nov again.
Oh and I only put about 1600km's on this year

I think you're the only one who puts less mileage on that I do... have you even passed 10,000?
Mine will go into storage late november and I doubt it will pass 17,000km's. So roughly 10k for the first full year without driving it to work. I've managed to put on over 30,000km's on the daily driver this year though

I showed my car to a bunch of peeps I used to work with in Markham... And one guy says "hahah.. and your car hasn't even had an oil change yet... " I said... "Yeah ok.. Try 3 oil changes
"
Winter Storage - any brake preparation?
Do the brake discs need any special treatment to prevent corrosion over the storage period (e.g. light coat of WD-40)? My Mustang will be stored in the same garage as my winter car. A lot of slush and salt falls onto the garage floor.
Todd, the brakes will have very light surface rust that will be cleaned off the wheels once you brake once or twice, nothing to worry about. I have the same situation as you.
I picked up a plug-in 110 decibel mouse deterrant for the garage to keep them away from the car.

I still only have 6250km's
Haven't had a chance to drive much this year... been taking a ton of construction supplies to the cottage in the Taurus.
I'm aiming for mid-November again..... but this year is looking bad weather wise.

Dan even driving in the winter I would think it would more than 10 years. Heck my Taurus is 12 years old and still kicking....
Dan will be the first one on the board to drive an electric powered Mustang... muhahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Mean while I'll be paying $10/litre for gas.... and loving every minute of it
