Toronto Meet #2

Ok Everyone,

The summer is winding down already, so just tossing around some ideas for a meet.

1. There is a GTAMC dyno day @ steeda in milton September 16th

2. There is a GTAMC event at St. Thomas Dragway Park on September 23rd. Test n' tune racing
-Meeting there in the morning, doing some test n tune runs and then having lunch in upper Hamilton

3. Meeting up somewhere convenient for everyone and having lunch (like last year for those who remember)

4. What else ya got?

Me personally, I'm always up for a trip to cayuga, and there are no events that day, so the track shouldn't be as packed... in any case, I plan to hit the track on a saturday or sunday in the fall on a cool day. I want to hit a 13.5 by the end of the year.

After the long weekend in Sept, I'm pretty much game for any other weekend after that... and I come back from europe on Aug 18th...so even the weekend after that I'm good with getting together.

No reason why we can't have multiple get togethers

I would love to go to the track some time, I have never been but would like to give it a go! I just need a couple of weeks advanced notice so I can book that day off work.

As for other meets & greets I am up for whatever is going, again, unless its a Sunday or on an evening I just need some notice.... boy, does working ever suck!!!

I can't go on Sept 16th. Other than that pretty much any weekend works for me (at this time). Myself, I don't care too much about going to a track. I prefer just cruising around and then stopping in somewhere for a bite to eat. And as for Steeda I don't think there is enough parking for everyone , well, that is once we find the place again

I made a mistake on my initial post,

The GTAMC even on September 23rd is actually at St. Thomas Dragway Park... a little farther away.

In either case, we'll do whatever gets the most people out. Regardless, I will be going one saturday or sunday morning to Cayuga in the fall to get my 13.5 or faster. If enough TMS people join me we'll do lunch somewhere

Ok everyone,

I plan on hitting cayuga one saturday morning either late september or late october... It will be short notice because its so dependant on the weather. I'll post about it and anyone is welcome to join me.

Otherwise, i'm personally tied up between September 30th and October 14th for Christenings and Weddings

Once some more people chime in, we'll figure something out.

I'm tied up until the Week of Sept 18th. After that I should be good. Oh btw if you have a tune don't try and start your car with the stock intake - that is all --

I'd love to run at Cayuga, instead of just taking pictures

Hey Everyone .... I haven't been on the TMS site much since our small casual meet at Yorkdale. I'd love to get together again at some event. I'm pretty flexible .... would be cool to meet up again at a local mall or something again. That was cool :-) ... let me know .... Brian

I'm planning on hitting cayuga on sunday october 22nd or saturday october 28th. Weather permitting of course. The plan is to get there right in the morning (10am) and do as many runs as possible before the staging lanes get packed. After that probably go to Jack Astors on Centennial Parkway for lunch. I plan on going regardless of the turnout. Whoever else is interested let me know.

As for anything sooner, September 23rd is open for me. Do we all want to meet at moose winooski again?

Kristina,

I sent a bulk PM to as many TMS members in the GTA as I could think of. If there is interest, i'll try and wake up early enough to get my car dyno'd and we can do a lunch.

Steve (& everyone), count me in for Cayuga on either of the days you picked, lucky me is off for both so we'll let the weather call it for us.

I can't make the 16th (will be up north) and I have a stupid wedding on the 23rd.

Just an FYI, I've joined up with the SVTOA group in the GTA for some of their things (and to support them because of that absolutely fantastic performance driving school they run), so take a minute to look at their website (www.svtoa-toronto.ca), might be something we can do in there as a sub group. We're more than welcome and membership is only $25/yr.

I'll be at the Dixie Ford Show n Shine this Sunday the 10th for about noon so if anyone's going, see you there.

Mark (and PS Steve, thanks for arranging things, looking forward to the get together !!)
