Oh no, mustang might have to come out of storage early

Transmission just went on my winter beater on my way to work. I have absolutely no gears. I normally take the stang out 4 weeks from now but looking at the weather reports, we are getting snow for the next 2 weeks. I don't mind if the car see's a little bit of salt but I don't think my GForce T/A KDW-NT tires will do anything in the snow other than make me go into a ditch. Do I risk taking the car out in the snow? Would only be able to do it if there was just a little bit of snow on the ground but I have a feeling I would get stuck even in a inch of snow.

Don't do it

You're a Brave Man(. or ?) and the car is really Fine.

The forecast for your Area is more Snow.
I would be more concerned about other Drivers sliding into the Mustang or getting
damage from hitting the Snow with a lowered Car.

If you have too, Good Luck
and maybe some Winter Grips on the rear.

Those tires will do NOTHING but spin...

When it says N/A next to winter driving on the rating, you know they do squat.
Even the stock tires will be better, but not much for REAL snow

For the price of winter tires and the danger to your car...
I would suggest finding a cheap car that will last 2 months.

Unfortunately I was stupid and sold the stock rims in the fall that I had installed Michelin X-ice tires on. Since I never drove the car in the winter I had no use for them......until now.

Fortunately someone from work is able to drive me to work in the morning for the next 2 weeks and my wife can pick me up after work. Hopefully then we are done with the snow. They are calling for flurries almost everyday up till March 15th, but then again, we all know how accurate weather predictions are.

I can't wait for all this snow to be gone, a year ago this weekend I managed to put my car back on the street. It looks like at least 2-3 weeks if not more before I can bring it out this year.

I took the stang out a few weeks back. I have it at work today and looks like they are calling for 5cm of snow today. If that starts to stay on the ground I guess I will have to head home early or be stuck here. Can't wait for it to warm up enough that we don't have to worry about anymore stinkin' snow.

Me?? Stupid??

Well, maybe I'm just stupid, but I just bought a Roush 427r and I plan on driving it year round. I did buy an extra set of rims and will be putting on blizzaks..

I'm in Edmonton - I have been driving my BMW Z4 throughout the past 4 winters without a problem (also spare rims and winter tires).

Actually, I love driving a standard - rear wheeler in the snow...

For all that $$$$$ you spent on the Roush, i'm sure a $900 beater won't break your bank.
If there is salt on your roads, your gonne ruin that baby. DON'T DO IT!!!! lol
