I just came back from Christmas holidays...
By the way, I hope everybody has had very good Christmas ! B)

When I was coming back with my lovely car, the check engine light came up ???
I have check in the manual and it could be a couple of things... nothing major (if the check engine doesn't flash).

Is this happened to you ?
I will see if it will desappear and if no I will have it check during my first oil change... soon....

No check engine light lite up in the dash for me, the car is just fine hibernating in the garage....
Maybe it's just a sensor, i would chec for a low level antifreeze or something of that nature before you go spent some precious time at the dealer....I'm sure it's nothing serious, with all the electronics in the cars now a days, it's no wonder you get Chritmas tree lights once in a while....
Keep us posted....

A few people have had that problem with their '05.

Check if the gascap is tight, sometimes that does it.

Otherwise, take it to the dealer, you are under warranty, let them fix it

Galaxie,
I have checked the gascap... and refilled the tank also... but the light is still there...
Anyway, I will have it check at my first maintenance appointment in 2-3 weeks...

(PS. J'ai oublie les salutaion... oups ! )
Merci pour le tuyau ! Je vais aller le revoir au printemps ...

The lite may be an indication that there was a small glitch when you started your car, probably brought on by the cold. If that is true, the
lite should clear itself after the car has been off for a period of time
and started I think about 5 times. If the lite does clear , ask your dealer
at your next Oil change about the Specific Off time and number of starts. If it doesn't clear get to your dealer. had same problem with
SportTrac last Winter.

Glad to hear that it dissapeared, but you had a problem with a sensor somewhere, it's probably recorded somewhere in the car's computer for future reference....It probably was all that crappy wheather we got the last few weeks.....and guess what, more snow on the way for tomorrow.... Still LOVE your car Mary!!!!!
