Kris,
it could have been worse,
they could have installed the V6 engine in by accident
A couple of bolts and you will be back in business, try and get a few free oil changes out of it for the hassle

seriously - that woulda been horrible. imagine starting it up and thinking...hmmmt this just doesn't sound quite right....
ya, the least they can do if offer something like free oil changes or % off performance parts or SOMETHING.

I suppose if something had to be screwed up, I am glad it was the seat. It could have been much worse.
All that said, I have nothing but good words to say about the dealership I bought it from. After the original ETA had come and gone, he phoned me almost every day, giving me the status of what was going on, even at one time bringing the regional rep into the phone call.
He said he would give me a few free oil changes, but as far as compensation from ford, he said that is unlikely. He has already spoken to the regional rep about that, and he tells him there is nothing he can do. I am however, going to write a letter to ford HQ, and see what happens from there.

I don't know how the plant works, but I bet the seats are delivered on a sequenced line or an AGV.
In either case, i'll bet the passenger side seat was out of sequence.
