Classics can play too. There are a couple requirements for the practice sessions. You must either be a Boeing Employees Autosports Club member or relative, or a guest (2 are allowed at the practices), and your car must go through tech.

During Tech they mostly just check to see that your car is safe for the course. Battery is held down tight, wheels are on and tight, nothing loose in the cabin or trunk, and you have a good return spring on the throttle. You also will have to wear a helmet, Snell 95 or newer, but they have loaners there. They are kinda limited though.

The events are a little different, they break you into classes, and you have to have a copy of the rulebook (which of course they sell at the events for $5) and they cost money. Both ask that if you are driving, you also work the course (when it's not your turn). I like working the course because you get to see how others are doing, and maybe learn what you can do to improve your time, or what not to do.

The club site is www.beac-online.org, but much of it is for members only. There are links to other autocross organizations in the area though.

The next practice is June 4th, and there is a real event on June 5th. I'll let you guys know if I'm going to go on the 4th.

Next time there's an auto cross practice with room for a guest would you let me know? Thanks for responding to my posting a couple weeks back.

PS. I see you got your car with no wing. That was the first thing to go on mine. I got it in February and like it better all the time. See you around.

There's practice tomorrow moring, but I won't be able to make it. For those who do, show up around 8:30 and meet at the white truck, they'll give you instructions on how to help set up. They'll ask you to sign a waiver when they split up the drivers, but I've never seen anyone actually check to see that there are only 2 guests per club member.
You can always get an application and tell them you'll send it in, but it is primarily a Boeing employees club practice, so be nice.

Greg, are you going to go?
