Exclamation Help prevent another Va. Beach tax

Va. Beach is about to levy yet another tax on the citizens. The want to levy a personal property tax on boats. Even though you may not have a boat, this opens the door for the city to consider additional taxes. I don't know about you, but I don't need to be taxed more. My business is also dependent on the spending habits of large boat owners. If these folks get taxed, they'll simple move to a tax freindly city or state. That would hurt my business.

Also, if this passes in Va. Beach, other local city's will jump on the bandwagon.

This may affect some of you or not, but surely you want to send a message to the city to stop taxing us more!

Please add your signature to the petition and pass this on to as many as you can quickly. They tried to sneak this tax in - they vote on it this month.

The labove link won't work from this site. Copy and paste it to your browser and it works fine. Please help if you can.

Thanks!!

1. I read the 1st post before I asked the question.
2. I read your petition before I asked the question.
3. I am against most new taxes because governments can't manage our money corretly.
4. If the tax is going into the general fund and does not have a time limit then I am against it. As we all know they don't put time limits on new taxes so I am usually against them.
5. But, if they are going to use the money to improve the public marinas, channels and maybe improve the beach I might be in favor of it as along as it had a time limit.
6. Numbers 3,4, & 5 are the reasons I asked the question.
7. Good luck with your petition.

I mis understood what you meant.
The tax is for general fund-no time limit. Just more tax and spend policy at it's finest.
