Hey Brad and others, just wanted to let you know that I'm not going to make it tonight, on account of my doctor doesn't want me to drive on narcotics. I know it's a lame excuse, and I'd really like to be there, but surgery recovery takes precedence whether I like it or not.

I have the G2 paint, did you really have to leave that stuff for 24 hrs? Also just won a Gripper **** on ebay, so I'll see how soon that shows up.

Let me know if you and or anyone else wants to get together soon.

 

LOL, you must be on narcs, we said we are going to meet this coming up Saturday since some can't make it on a Friday.

I haven't used G2 myself, but it does take a while for 2 part epoxy to dry. Heat is the key on this, if it's winter out, it will take forever. What we could do is get it on in the morning, put a couple of space heaters (I have two) blowing on a couple of them at a time and they'll dry in several hours. Trick is when puting the wheels back on not to chip the paint. But once they are dry to the touch, should be fine to drive with. Once the calipers get some heat in them from driving/braking, they'll finish hardening quick enough. If you want, we can try to do it this Saturday, then head up to the Bier Garden.

Haha! I could have sworn it was this weekend and not next. That changes things completely. I should be up and running with no problems by then. Just wanted to make sure no one was waiting on me if I couldn't come.

Your painting idea sounds great, especially since it's beginning to warm up a lot. I usually have Saturdays off, so again, sounds good. I can even bring a space heater or two for the other side!

 

Anyone still up for Bier Garden tonight?

 

It appears that unless Hatch changes his mind, Brad and I will both not be going tonight. I might head over to Bass Pro to check things out there if anyone's going.

 

Stopped by Bass Pro tonight, didn't know it was an all around car hang out. Talk to some folks, saw some really cool cars, didn't meet any Penninsula people. Of course, I don't know any in person so I had no idea who I was looking for...lol Maybe I'll catch you sometime Mike or some of the other peninsula people.

 

Sorry I didn't make it tonight. Got stuck out in the mud on the 4 wheeler and got home later than I planned. We'll have to do it again sometime.

BTW, there's a meeting this thursday. I got an email saying that the new KR may be there. Unfortunately, I'll be in NC .

 

I always work on Thursday nights...but they pay me double time to do it, so it's hard to say no. Plus it's usually easy.

I'm going to wish I could go, love to see that KR in person...

Made it out and joined the PME club. Nice cars and people. No KR this time around though, but it's coming soon.
