Ya man! big and juicy ...and I believe will be short lived, When GM pulled the plug on the Camero last time unit sales where around 32,000 cars a year! GM needs 100,000 + units a production run a year or its history again.

While I am and have been a Ford guy for my almost 40 years of driving and I like the looks of both the Challenger and the Camaro. I have to say that their timing for bringing out a retro car really sucks. Fords timing was just perfect with the 05. Only time will tell but I don't believe the Challenger or the Maro will be long lived. Hell the way things are headed GM might be building the Challenger next year.

Scott I agree with you .. and that hurts to say.....I think GM spent almost three years pounding their pudd on the US version of Maro to get base model production cost down to compete with the V6 Mustang ! Yep I think they missed the window of opportunity ......

I'm not in for a 2010. I agree that GM missed the boat on the Camaro -- I like the body shape -- but think the front and rear ends are just ugly. They didn't really capture the 68 look -- which is what this is. I had a 69 Firebird -- and think this body style much more immulates the 67-68s which weren't IMHO as sharp as the 69s. The S197 hits it right for me. I haven't liked what I've seen on the 2010 -- other than the improved interior w/ audio controls on the steering wheel. I'd rather buy some mods than spend the $$$ on the trade. You can get 425 HP on your S197 for a lot less than the trade in cost. Just my .02

I think the Mopar will outlive the maro...... you know how Dodge is, once they have the base platform out there, it stays for years and years with just minor badge changes once in a while.

I think your right Tom, What I have read Dodge is looking at the challenger as a more limited production, numbers more like a glorified Prowler program !

Hi Mike,
I agree. With the economy the way it is today I will battin down the spending on new stuff and upgrade what I have. I know this approach is not going to help the local economy any but we all need to take care of #1

Yeah, I still think it's very hard to beat the current S197 in the looks department, especially the exterior. And even the interior shots of the 2010 haven't gotten me excited. I like the idea of steering wheel controls- they kickass in my wife's Aspen- but in a Mustang, probably not for me since I replaced the factory audio system anyway. And in the 2010, I do NOT like the combination of both round and square vents...... call me **** I guess but it drives me nuts. Why would they do that?

Nick !...I hear ya. The more I look at the whole 2010 Camaro package it kinda makes me queasy ....IMO GM spent to much time second guessing themselves ! I think they had a good design and over tweaked it inside and out trying to appeal to the larger demographic ... The same mistake Ford may be making with the 2010/11 Stang IMO ... Yah! look at this mess .....

Round and square air vents again. Must be something in the water in Detriot.

Yep, must have been some goal to see how many different geometric patterns they could cram in the cabin of the thing !...

The camaro design boardroom...
The leader says "ok guys... write down every good idea you have for a dashboard design."
10 minutes later, he has several proposals in a stack of papers
He says, "okay. we're not going to use ANY of these good ideas."

However..
I do LOVE the exterior...

They'd have a perfect car if it was the Camaro exterior with the GTO or G8 interior.
