Midwest TMS'ers General Communication Thread
Well have you'll hear of FordSocial.com?? It's hard to sign up on, cuz their web site has alot of problems but I finally fill out the entry form and my pictures small enought to get it.
After about a month I got an e-mail asking if I'm interested in a contest, with the winners to get to go to the Raptor Challenge. 1st step is to entry, next step they want a picture of any Ford car or truck that was yours. Next they open up all the pictures and people voted on facebook for the Ford's they like. Well about this time I'm pretty much done with jumpin though loops and I never tell anybody about the Facebook votes.
Next I get a e-mail and then a phone call saying I'm a top ten finalist and they want some personal infor and a 500 word essay on why I should win.

I find this on their web site. So now I have an interview this Monday to see if I move on to the top three with all 3 winning a 3 night 2 day trip to Miller sportpark for the Raptor Assault school. With a 3 out 10 chance of winning I figure I've come in 4th.

Yeah I am kinda pi$$ed about the front plate. I specifically told the dealer DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES INSTALL THE FRONT PLATE when I ordered the car, and he was all "no problem!" then it's on there when I went to pick up the car. It's getting removed ASAP. People on FocusST.org are discovering that the plugs are gapped wrong from the factory, and regapping the plugs or installing new, properly-gapped ones seem to help reduce the exhaust soot. As for the brakes, my 2014 apparently has updated less-dusty brakes.

This was supposed to be the first pic in the series above.
I was informed today that I was not a top 3 grand prize winner in the Raptor contest. Oh well now I don't have to worry about paiding the taxes for what the trip was worth.
The other 7 finishes all recieved nothing.
It puts the finishing touches on the whole weekend. The mustang club had their day at the Tire Racks test track. I only ran about 6 times. I targeted a good time and by the 5 tracking I have made it. Nothing left in the car. My Union (USW) had a toy show at the hall with BBQ lunch getting brought in (Nelson's golden glow chicken). So I left the track to go to the hall. Only 6 cars and about 5 bikes showed up. I go home only to find my wife sick with a cold and in bed with the door closed and a don't disturb sign. At least football was on.
