Hey did any of you go to the racing and performance show over the weekend, one vendor that I talked to a bit was Kenny Brown Performance about there suspension packages. Vic Edelbrock and his daughter was there but did not stop for autograph maybeI should have but figured what am I going to do with it lol.

 

A little update on my Fairmont project. It's going slow but I did manage to get an 8.8 rearend that I've been fixing up a bit, needed new seals and bearings, and rebuilt the limited-slip, changed the gears from 2.73 to 3.27s too. Just one or two more little things to do on it and it can go into the car. A guy that works at another location of the company I work for has a 5.0 motor he will sell me cheap too.

 

no show for me. I guess the world of wheels is next weekend. I won't be going to that one either. Rip off. Been thinking about buying this truck for something to play with in the garage besides myself, resell. I asked the seller for interior and engine bay pics. Looks like the body and tires are in good shape.

I forgot that show was this weekend. Worked late yesterday then hoped to watch the Daytona 500 today but that didn't happen. At least I got the car out for a bit today and swept out the garage.

 

Was my first time to any kind of show like that was interesting I thought,not to mention I got alot of reading materal lol. The talk about the suspension was the most interesting to me.

 

Here's a few photos of what I'm working with, it's pretty much a replacement for the Mustang I couldn't afford to keep any longer. I have been doing a little bit of work to it, still looks mostly the same though.

 

That looks really clean for its age. I take it it didn't come from IL?

 

I was at the performance show last weekend along with some buddies. I wanted to say hi to my amsoil sponsor. I wasn't impressed by the show at all.

 

I did see the Amsoil booth, I have been thinking of going over to a dealer status so i made sure to stop and look. I liked it but like said it was my first so I did not know what to really expect, was cool seeing some of the aftermaket products in person then in a mag or on the internet.

 

That's correct, I think the car was originally from Pennsylvania, but it was undercoated when new and owned by an older couple until a few years ago when the second owner acquired it. He had his fun with it and sold it to me. There's a rust spot in the left rear wheel arch, and a few bubbled spots on the rockers, but that's it, underside is solid.

 

Man was it fn windy today!!

messed with my leaky headers right where the mid pipe hooks to the headers on both sides. Its like I have the wrong mid pipe but its the one bbk said would werk. I send them a email hopefully they will respond monday. Hanging out and just got back from an hour bike ride. Just whoring it up now.

 

That sux. Hopefully its a simple fix. Are you going with an o/r x with that too?

 

no its catted gotta pass emissions but if I find a catless piece for a awesome price I may just nab it.
