Stang101,
Ok,click Order #1 on my post, and do the math for my age, The only thing I know about the V6,that will be at Manley is that it is Satin Silver, and will have the dark charcoal sport bucket seats.
Edit:dont call if you dont want to,Thats ok. I just thought that it would be cool if we could talk, you being from the area, and not knowing that much about the car.

Although I did not order there (proves my unbiased opinion), I hear rave reviews from everyone (and I mean strangers who have just happened to buy there too) that Arlington Heights Ford is awesome in every respect (www.arlingtonheightsford.com).
I stuck to my local dealer, but Arlington is one of the biggest -- if not THE -- movers of Ford autos in Illinois. I called to see what they're getting (3 Mustangs as demos) and the guy was an immediate help... but yeah, I'm still holding hopes with Friendly Ford of Roselle. They're small and I buy a lot (parts) there, so hopefully that will rub them in a good way with my car purchase

Thanks for this recommendation. I filled out their online quote form so hopefully I'll hear back from them soon. If I can get a $500 over invoice deal, I'll order now.
I'm thinking about heading over to Friendly Ford...just saw a Freestar from there today...
I'm heading over to Village Ford on Friday to see what they're getting in...I'll keep everyone posted
By the way...click on the Chi-town S197 meet link in my sig...even if we don't get some muzzys by then, we can get some eats

Frank, I should note Friendly Ford burned down a few weeks ago and that their sales department works out of temporary construction trailers.
You know what, if you pass by the place, stop by and take a look... their entire parts department works out of 2 semi-truck trailers (really funny when you see it). I of course, had the nerve to ask if I should address my Christmas card to the building address or Trailer #2
PS- Friendly's making me pay MSRP, so no deal will be made there (like most suburbs in the N.W. area, there's all those 50+ year olds with tons of money who will pay even more, so they are "somewhat" fair in price -- I guess -- considering what they could do to it...)

They will also not take my Z-plan...not cool :anger:
I am very dissapointed as they are ordering the very GT I want the way I want (btw they are only getting one GT and one V6 in...)
Sorry to hear about Friendly...
I'm thinking about River Oaks now...has anyone heard of any dealers that will take Z-plan in Northeast Illinois?

Frank, you live in Naperville check the ford dealer on Ogden Ave in Downers Grove.

BTW, I don't like Fair Oaks Ford...which is also on Ogden, but in Naperville...I get a bad vibe from there...

[/b][/quote]I wouldnt personally buy a car from Joe Madden. I went there when I was 19 looking for a brand new 2000 GT. I asked the guy if I could test drive a GT 5 speed and he said sure. The salesmen took my license and insurance inside to copy it, which is pretty much standard procedure. Five minutes later he comes out and tells me that he cannot let me drive the car because their insurance wont let me. He then tells me that if I bring my dad down I can test drive it. I grabbed my stuff and turned around and left. I went to Willowbrook Ford about a month ago and this is probably where I will buy an 05 GT.
Ok, I just sent out a few emails to dealers in the 'burbs. I asked if they knew when they'll be getting some '05s and if they'll be accepting the letter plans. I emailed about 5, Elmhurst, River View, Willowbrook, and others I forget now...
