ok...so If I get there at 10...how long of a wait do you think I'll have before I get on? I have to get out of there and go to work

And Also...do I get a print-out of my performance?

Timing depends on the turn-out.... and yes you get a printout.

Don't know, it really just depends. They get cars on & off the dyno in about 10 minutes a piece..... so it all depends on how many people come and sign-in before you get there.

I got there about 10am last year, and had to wait less than 30 minutes. Hell, my car didn't even have a chance to cool down from the 1 hour drive to get there.

If it's raining tomorrow morning, my guess is that you won't have to wait long. All depends on how busy it is though.

Well...I'm back and at work! Sorry I had to leave so early, I would have loved to stay and talk cars with ya, but I just wanted to get the car home and not have to worry about being late to work. It was awsome to get to meat you guys...I'm definatley glad I came. Jamie...where do you live man? I live on the south side, south of the bypass, between 31 and Miami.

Tom: you are going to have to update that avatar! the wheels and springs are sweet!....not to mention the grille!

One Question: Why did everyone take off thier shakers when they did thier pulls? I was confused....would it restrict air flow because you were standing still? That was the only explanation I could think of.

Hey Cody it was nice meeting you! We have to take the shakers off so that the spark coils can be can be accessed- that is what the dyno uses to track the RPMs accurately. It has nothing to do with performance.

I'm gonna post some pix of the day shortly!

I'm on the South side too. On Ironwood right across from the fairgrounds for now. I'm actually in the process of selling my house and moving to Logansport, which is about 1 1/2 hours South.

They had to take the shakers off so the shop guys could get to the wires to tap in for system monitoring while making the runs. The shaker covers all of the injector and Coil-on-pack wires.

EDIT: ****, Tom beat me to the answer.

oh...ok...makes sense.

Another question...Was my car loud? I really couldn't tell cause I was inside it explaining to that guy how a C4 works....(I still don't think he understands ... )...but some of those cars were LOUD...I just wondered what mine was like compared to the rest.

Cody,

Your car sounded good. I would say it was loud, but not obnoxious loud. It sounded really good to me. A lot better than I expected from a '65.

I am sorry I was unable to make it guys... I am still recovering from surgery and can't drive too well.. Plus I'm having a rather sore throat right now. Jais and Codeman - we should have a South Bend gathering! We are all on the south side. I'm also between 31 and miami, slightly south of ireland.

Thanks for putting up the pics Tom. My car looks naked compared to yours and Scott's. I'm going to have to break down and get some of the look good mods now.

Of course, right now you've got me dreamin about that Vortech kit. Sounded like 1st gear was pretty much useless for ya' when you were heading out. 2nd didn't seem like it faired much better.

Have fun putting that panhard bar in.

Funny that Scott hasn't chimed in yet...... Oh yea, he's probably got another hour or so of driving to do. Too bad for him. Glad everyone could make it out though.

We will have to get together. I won't be in SB for long though. Probably moving South about the middle of June. I'll still be making it to Brenspeed every once in a while though.

Hopefully I'll still be making it to some of the ND football games too.

I've seen several modified msutangs lately... I saw a lowered black one with tinted windows at South Bend Orthopedic on 23 and Douglas on Thursday... And I also saw a Torch Red with white stripes and a hood scoop and fanblades (maybe the center-mounted foglights too) crossing Ironwood... And I think someone works at mcdonalds on Miami south of ireland with a Yellow GT Vert with a silverhorse racing trunk panel.. I've seen it there a couple times.. And there is a Mach 1 that works in the little business park up the hill next to mcdonalds....

Yes, I'm a freak

Jamie...I've definatly seen your car around town....Cause my dad has one just like it, but its not a vert, and I always think its him ...but I know its you! Sorry to hear about your health Nick..get well man...I'll be prayin for ya.

I would also like to apologize for how dirty my car was...I didnt think I was comming untill about 11 last night...and needless to say I didnt stay up all night cleaning my car. My chin spoiler collects dust wicked bad, thats why the color looks off, but it is a good match. It just has to be waxed daily for it to look like it.
