I'd like to get my gt500 on a strip sometime to see what it will do. I'm a road racer (not with the gt500) but know nothing of drag racing. I'm in the far NW burbs of Chicago. So who wants to teach a noob?

 

Are you on CMC (Chicagoland Mustang Club)? There's some good local racing discussions there and they usually host a track day a couple times a year. I went to their last one up @ Byron. Good times!

 

I'm a member of a local car club called Midwest Racing. We're a small club, but we go to Byron once a month from April to September, sometimes in October if the weather is good. I'll check it out. I was planning on Byron or RT 66 in April anyways for a T&T, maybe I'll go up with you guys.

Man any of you guys ever go to byron let me know thats at my back door im about a 10 mile drive from there. Not sure I would run mine but atleast come watch a couple times to learn before I would try.

 

I like Byron a lot more than 66, it's just so far away. 66 is like 10 minutes from me.
