K, the other thread has gotten a little off track... So, I thought I would start a new one..

The meet is for Aug 21st, which is a Sunday. We are meeting up with the guys from SoCalStangs, and going on a tour at the LA Automotive Museum in LA. The address for the museum is: 6060 Wilshire Blvd, Los Angeles CA

The tours start at 11:00am and last 2 hours. The first hour is guided, the second hour is self guided.

We will most likely be finding a local spot to grab something to eat at after the tour.

By my estimation, we will be arriving at the Museum around 10:30am, so that we can all meet up, get the group together before we go in.

We should be out of the tours by 1:00pm. There are LOTS of resturants in the area, within a mile of the Museum. We are still working on that, as well as parking for lunch.

I like the idea of Shakeys in the area... its simple, its cheap, and should have a sizeable parking lot.

rrobello needed a place for sout OC people to meet up with us North OC folks. Since the HB people are the ones furthest away from a freeway, I fgured we could drive out to meet them.

There is a Sizzler right at the 55/5 fwys in Tustin. If we meet there no later than 9:30am, we should be good to go.

HB Folks, let me know where you wanna meet locally, we can meet up at about 9am, either downtown, or near the 405, at the mall.

ok here are the final details on the museum.....

UPDATE:

We are good to go. SCS reserved it for the 33 people on the list (plus kids). We can still take some slackers last minute but if it's more than 10 more people, too late!

Things to remember:

1. tour starts at 11:30 on the first floor

2. park on the third level (with all the mustangs)

3. if you come in something other than a mustang, it's $6 to park (mustang= free parking)

4. $6 a head to get in, pay when you get there. (less for kids)

5. have fun

add Rebel73 w/ an 05 GT to our list and that leaves only 9 open spots left for slackers to last minute show up.....

Mike McRann is your nieghbor AND his brother definately going or just the neighbor? I never saw a post on the definite answer, but that would take us down to 8.

Rick, yes you have the address correct on the Sizzler in Tustin.

I havent heard from any HB folks as of yet to see if we are meeting in HB to go to the freeway.

Rabbitt I will post the info on the stop times as soon as I get them from SCS, I think there are three stops all together, but we will be doing a "California Stop" type of thing I would imagine.

I wanted to let everyone know, if you cant make it to the tour, PLEASE still let us know if you wanna meet up at Shakeys. There is really no limit on that.. dont want people missing out on this meet. It is turning out quite big.

ok we bumped up the times by 30 min, to make sure we get to the museum on time....so the Aliso Creek will no be leaving at 9:30am and the sizzler spot will be scheduled to leave there at 10-10:15am we will be pulling into the parking lot and doing a roll through to gather you guys up, so when you see us coming start your engines...lol, la costa will be leaving at around 9:10am.

I'm good to meet where ever you guys decide. I live over off Goldenwest just north of sports complex and the horsey stables (I think you know where that is ). Just let me know where the HB group is meeting
