Wanted to let you West Coast folks know about the Southern AZ Mustang Club's Annual Great Pumpkin event. SAMC is one of the oldest continously operated, dealer sponsored Mustang Clubs in the the world. The Great Pumpkin is the SAMC event of the year and this year will be the best yet. Meet and Greet Costume party at the Elks lodge Friday night and then on Saturday over to Southwestern International Raceway in Tucson AZ...which for the first time for the Great Pumpkin means DRAG RACING!!!!! There will even be cash purse for the best 1/4 mile times. And as always the annual car show w/ prizes and trophies. Bring your Stang out and put it up against other Stangs and Fords! Tucson is 120 miles south of Phoenix about 5-6 hours away from the San Diego area and about 7-8 hours away from LA. The drag strip is practically just off the I-10 freeway.
