Hey quick question guys. We are rebuilding my brothers 99 cobra and someone told us that we can us the cams out of a 96 cobra. They supposedly are more wilder cams and there is HP to gain. Anyone know if this is factual?

 

Might do a search and see what the advertised lift and duration is for both and compare. If it has less lift you should be ok but more lift could mean you need to check piston to valve clearance just to be safe.. Or if the lift is close to the same and the duration is longer then you may also have to check the valve clearance. Cam's are a funny thing if done right great power thru the RPM range.....if done wrong Your screwed

You might be better off to get a degree wheel and dial in the stockers for max performance.

yeah I dont think we will go the cam route.. plus if it were my guess it would be just the opposite. 99 cams in a 96 would create more power.

Interesting article here on octane booster that won't foul plugs and works. Been doing some homework and this seems to be the ticket to the 93 issue.
