Where did you hear you have to lower your engine???? I like the look of the saleen. IMO would make enough power for me and I like the idea of being able to use the CAI tubing that I have already payed for and not throw money out the window.

You could always sell your C&L like Bob is doing then you won't have wasted any money. I figure I have gotten the use out of mine by now if I go SC so I'll just sell it and not worry about it. I will saw the Saleen looks the most factory of what is out there

Have you made up your mind yet on your SC? Are you still considering the whipple?

Decided that Whipple was not a wise decision since the kit is a 10 psi kit...

Not to mention they may not be around due to patent infringement

If you don't get something intercooled, you might as well not get a SC

Sorry I guess I am being too much like Bob...yes I am getting one...yes it will be a twin screw intercooled...I have it narrowed down to 2 (Saleen and KB). Trying to do my homework and make my final decision. Plus I have to figure out if I want to try and install it or if I want someon else to do it.

For a SC to be as efficient as possible it needs really cold air, hence the intercooler. They make them without intercoolers because they are cheaper and people will buy them because they want to have a SC. Cold air not just forced air is one of the keys to an efficient SC

I would never do a turbo. The idea is too weird and they act like centris which I don't like...

I have to agree on the intercooler. You need one as far as I'm concerned. especially in the Oklahoma summer. Even with the intercooler you may need to do the methanol injection cooler for the track and use a cooler spark plug and premium fuel just to be safe. Boost+Heat=Detonation=Blown head gasket or worse.

Exactly! Although I won't use a methanol injection..to much work. If I raced ALL the time I might. I will be using the colder spark plugs. In fact I already have a set I got when I exchanged a part. You need the air to be as cold as possible to be the most efficient. Of course, the other key to an efficient SC is the tune. It's all in the tunes man, all in the tunes...

Brenspeed has them for $334.99. Pretty pricey. How does it work anyway?

Believe me I have done my research on superchargers.... I understand the theory behind a colder charge... my reply was just stating that some do use the non intercooled and are just fine with it. Yes the intercooler is safer and more efficient... not argueing that point. If it were me the KB is the way I would go...intercooled of course. But there is just something about the centris that I love! I dont know if its the sound or the mount of it I like, but I will have one
