I hear there's a pretty good wait for a saleen now. I was talking to a guy that's had one on order for some time and his car that he prepaid on has been sitting in a lot out in California. He figures by the time he actually gets it, it'll be almost a year old. He's about to cancel his order. I think I recall him saying that they are waiting on the supercharger for it.

 

Maroone Ford in Ft Laud. (near US1 & Sunrise Blvd) has 6 or 8 Saleens on their lot. I saw them last Saturday. If you check their inventory using Forddirect.com you'll see a bunch of Mustang GT Deluxe's w/IUP. These are all their Saleens. However, their price is no longer 26K. With "market adjustment", these Saleens are 51K a piece. They're fine looking, but IMO not worth 51K :notnice:

Besides, they only have 25 more HP than a base GT.

Boy am I behind on this thread - hectic week last week - man work gets in the way!!!

Sweet about the Saleens at Maroone - I'd like to see one in person - I'll have to cruise by there this weekend!

Kevin - was thinking about entering my car in the show but not sure - my brothers drag car Bullitt should definitely be entered though so I'll be helping him unload it from the trailer and all that.

The cool thought I had was that for any of us who are going, we should meet at a staging spot just before so we can roll in to the Pro Shops parking lot en-masse - should look pretty cool having a column of maybe 5 or 6 05s cruise in together. The Mustang Source Coalition.

Anyway, if anyone is up for crossing paths for a little bit within the next week or so, just get it out there. Maybe we can pick like a HOOTERS or something that could work for those that can make it - around the Boca/Palm area...

how about this weekend? the only place I can think of is at State Road 7 and Southern Blvd in front of Lowes?
Since thats where other groups of car owners meet I figured we could all roll in together. Unless someone can think of any place else.

 

Mates that sounds like a blast, the Ford Roundup on 4/2, but I will attending this event in Pinellas County As a true child of the '80s, I have to see Night Ranger

I'm up for hooking up with the '05 caravan. But, Palm Beach is way out of the way for me. I'm right off the Turnpike and the Sawgrass. Right by Maroone, if you guys want to see the Saleen's they have on the lot.
