Dave you say registered like in your cars will be in the show right.........I guess you and Dave and Jackie and Perry will all have your cars in the show, so I guess Illl se you all at the show. The dinner invite is still good if anyone is interested.

it's a crapshoot, but i'll offer anyway. I-95, and S.R. 50. theres several places for you west coast folks to meet up... if you want food there's cracker barrell, denny's, and awful house. if you want parking lot. there's lowes, walmart, a couple of hotels. this will give you approx 40 min drive to daytona. sidenote.....if anyone is coming over for the shuttle launch (6-8). i can offer you a great place to watch it, or you can come out to the port and get a hot dog at my folks campsite.

 

ok guys I got my registrating packet in today.
For Saturday June 9th it says we may begin entrance to the speedway at 8:45am and must be checked in by 10:30am at theBoardwalk Club inside the speedway.
So for those that are registered if you want to meet up at the Hotel we are staying at which is right down the street we can do that say around 8am.
I believe Jackie posted the address to our hotel on one of the previous pages. We will be there Thursday,Friday,and Saturday night.

Tim meeting up sounds like a great idea.

 

If any Tampa or west FL people want to caravan to the meet point, I'll be at the Burger King at I4/Park Rd and will roll east at 545am sharp.

 

Jackie and Perry , Dave -MTAS an Dave-Burk0011 you all are registering your cars to show right, Ill just be driving up and parking and going into see the show, so maybe I'll meet at the hotel LaQuanta where Jackie and Perry are staying at and walk ovet to the show. Any one have any idea how much it costs just to get into see the show? I havnt seen that price anywhere

 

I'm letting this one fall through my fingers with concentrating on getting the engine and trans back in.

I e-mailed the Stang Fest Team about how much it would cost just to be a spectator for the show on Sat. and this is what they e-mailed back

"There is no charge for entrance to the speedway unless you want to tour
Daytona USA. Otherwise, it wont cost you anything just to come and look at
the cars."

 

What I do know is if your going to register I would do it right away because I believe they are only letting 1000 stangs into the speedway. That may have changed but that was the last thing I heard.

I just registered both cars. For $120, I'm definitely going to call in sick on Friday so I can go to the bikini contest!

 

I hear ya on that. I think I'm going to register later tonight. I still haven't made a hotel reservation or anything, but I'm planning on being there for Friday and Saturday.

anyone making the trip to sea world from daytona on wed?

 

I have to work Wed and Thurs, so I won't be able to go to Sea World.

Are you guys taking your cars ON the beach on Friday?

 

Dont think we will make the Sea World trip.
We will be there Thursday-Sunday.
Not to sure I will be taking my stang ON the beach the salt in the air there is horrible.

On a side note we did find a couple Do-It-Yourself carwashes near the event for those interested.
