OK, so I think Friday night is pretty much set. Hotel at 4:00... 30 minute window to get there... leave for Hooters at 4:30.

Sat & Sun... I like what you said... Hotel at 7:30... 30 minute window to get there... leave for the car show at 8:00.

Everybody else OK with this? Any reasons not to do it this way?

Ok with me. If the Tampa/Plant City people leave on Saturday morning by 06:00 we should be at the hotel by 07:30 or soon after.

Although it involves a few bucks in tolls, the best way to get there and avoid a lot of traffic is I-4 to 417 N (toll) to 408 E (toll) to Alafaya Trail N to Hwy 50. The hotel is on the NW corner of Alafaya Trail and Hwy 50 if I remember correctly.

Hey Phil - I'm looking at Google maps and taking 417 to 408 seems way out of the way opposed to taking I4 to 408. You know the area better than I do, but look at this:

http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=e...66919&t=h&om=1

I've taken the 417 to 408 to the Waterford Lakes show before and man is it a long drive. Just throwing ideas out.

It is definitely longer and it costs more, but going through downtown which is basically where I-4 and the 408 intersect, blows. And the 417 is just a much smoother, more relaxed drive. Then again, it will be very early in the morning and traffic should not be too bad. We can go either route, it doesn’t much matter to me.

Going home, I will not be going through downtown.

cool man I will try to go friday evening with my dad and saturday too!

my dad loved mustangs from the beginnig!

his dream is to have a convertible 1967, so I have the mindset on getting him one one day soon.
I hope we can see some hot lod mustangs also!!!

Man I can't wait to see all your cars!

this morning, I was driving to work, and next to me was a lingerfelten corvete z06, it looks incredible, I gave the thumbs up to the guy, but tha *** looked at me with a nasty face so I just stpe on it and drove away.
he was driving as a 110 yr old also...
I guess I love corvettes for what they are, but I've never seen a cool person driving them.
the other day I gave the thumbs up to an old guy in a bentley andthe smile on his face made him look like a teenager again, so I guess it is not the money you have or not that makes you what you are.
see you later people!!

Yeah you can never tell with people. This morning on west-bound I4 heading to Tampa, I noticed a Torch Red 'vert with Shelby stripes and aftermarket wheels going my way. So once I got next to the guy I looked over and nodded, my way of acknowledging other drivers of what I consider cool cars. Not even a glance my way - OK buddy, no problem. I always acknowledge drivers of cool cars, regardless of engine size.
