Because truthfully I think Dave's Stang as a total package is definitely trophy worthy and that he definitely deserves one..... but that's not the way the reality of the judging works out is it?

I want to say that at last year's NMRA in Bradenton (keep in mind I have a very selective memory), it was popular vote, but they had different categorys, like Best Stance, Best Engine, Best Interior, Best Paint, etc. Aside from Perry & Jackie's car, which honestly is an anomoly based on things I've seen at car shows (meaning it has many mods, but they all flow together and doesn't cross the line of being too much), I'm just not willing to put scissor-doors, a huge wing, neon everywhere, stickers galore or stuffed anmals all over it just to get a $5 trophy/plaque. THAT'S what wins at a majority of the car shows I've been to that are popular vote. That said, I'm also glad that we don't all think alike or this would be one boring existence

Oh, I forgot the best picture:

Just kidding about the 'best' picture... awards are nice, like others have said, but it is cool just hangin' out and havin' fun!

I like when the awards say what car you are talking about. Those are mighty sweet though.

I was already kidding about that over the weekend, pointing out that it didn't really say which car I won them for.

Hey everybody!
Congrats on your awards.
Those are some great pictures, especially the ones with the Blow By Racing chics! Very nice!
Man! I wish I could've been there.
Unfortunately, I had to bale at the last minute.

As some of you already know, I wasn't able to make the show due to a family emergency.
My mom had been complaining of severe headaces (much worse than a migrane), vision problems, and high blood pressure and was brought to the hospital where they diagnosed her with a brain aneurism.
She had been in the hospital for just over two weeks, but now she's doing much better and is out of the hospital.
We've transferred her to a rehab center where she's undergoing physical therapy and speech therapy.
We're all breathing a sigh of relief that she's going to be ok.
Her rehab is going to take some time, but if she progresses as well as she has been she may be out in a few weeks.
As for her memory, that will take a little longer, but we know it will eventually come back.

Again, sorry I was not able to make it, but hopefully I'll catch you all soon.

Hey there JT
I am so glad that everything is ok and as said Family always comes first. Just hang in there man it takes time I remember with Jackies mom how long things took and actually I think your mom is progressing faster.
we'll keep you and your family in our prayers.

As for the show it was sweet and sorry it took me so long to get back on here. After having that many days off I unfortunately had to work a few back to back open to close days (sigh).
As always the show was great but even better was hooking up with GOOD mustang friends. I always tell Jackie that when a show like that is coming up and I know a few of us are getting together I always get pretty excited to know that we will be surrounded by people that understand eachother when it comes to the stang illness.
Getting trophies are a plus but truthfully nothing beats hanging out with you guys and BSing.
Cant wait till the next show.

Even longer than forever ago now, but I just wanted everyone who was at this event to know we finally got our pictures from the event up on our website, so if you were there, you might want to check and see if there were any good ones of you there.
