Wow...I don't know if it's the color or the fact that it's the new Mustang. This is the fastest-selling model of all the XMODS in my store. Surprisingly, the EVO has been collecting dust on the shelves.
OK, I am needing some help! I got the 2006 for Christmas, and I love it. However, I'm gonna go the extra mile to make it look just like my car. I need some Bullitt wheels for it, and I can't seem to find any online yet. The closest thing I've seen is in the Hot Rod wheels upgrade package, but the "spokes" are black and not chrome. (I suppose I could just repaint them.) Has anyone seen anything any more accurate?
So far, no one's made any replica Bullitts for XMODS yet, as the demand for American muscle car accessories is pretty low compared to the tuners. The ones on the wheel upgrade package are pretty close, but you'll need to do more than just repainting them. The spokes are flat, not round. Thus, you'll need to use a needle file to curve each spoke out.
Most hobbyists dip the car body in brake fluid for a few hours to remove the paint. But you might not want to do this, as it'll also strip the black paint off the windows and the chrome off the emblems; thus, adding more work.
Try using rubbing alcohol on the body. It's an easy way to prep the body for a repaint. Just make sure to mask the windows and other areas you're not painting.
As for paint, use spray paint that's closest to the color of your Mustang. Just be sure to also buy a can of clearcoat.

I added their batteries to the 1st Gen Xmod and it is at least 3 times as fast as what you can get to with the Radioshack parts. It really is amazing what they have. I can get mine to around 20mph, but with some of the motors on this site they can go 30+mph easily.

Yeah, my Skyline has a lot of parts from AtomicMods. Mainly the suspension parts, as the stock ones break very easily. I don't plan to use Li-Ion on any of my XMODS, as I'm happy with rechargeable Ni-MH for now.
