Oh my F'n Gawd! They made WldTang into a Hot Wheels car!! Yippee!!!!!!
Normally, I wouldn't give an immature little plick (pardon my Chinese) like you the time of day. But somebody needs to set you and your kind straight. If you had read ALL my posts leading up to the one you are quoting, then you would know that I was not too happy with how the folks here were talking to Amy B, the President of Shelby Autos. You have heard of them, right? OK, good. 'Cause I wouldn't want to be wasting my breath here...
For someone with 14 posts to throw that up in my face is just nuckin' futs. Especially when I have over 1000 posts. Let's see. I was the first person to post pics of the 2006 Tungsten GT on this site. You know, the color Brad owns. I also posted the first Grabber Blue GT on this site, albeit with a little help from my peeps over at GO.net. I have helped people acquire welt to dress up the interiors of their Stangs. My point is, I contribute to this site. I add value to this site. What do you do for this site?
If you think you were being funny, I can assure you, nobody here took it that way. Just read the posts that follow yours. Now I could go on and on but that would just be contradictory. Remember, I suggested earlier that you should have PM'd me. You're welcome to do so now and we'll take this to a whole 'nother level.
Other than what I've said here, I really have no desire to air out my dirty laundry in public. I feel I deserve one post to let everyone know this kind of
won't be tolerated on this site. Not from you. Not from anyone. But especially not from you. Grow up, join the human race, or just move on, dude!
I went down to my hobby shop. I purchased a 10 pack of 8.5" by 11" clear decal paper. I then designed a fading stripe in my Paint Shop Pro program. Then I printed it using my laser printer (they're black, remember?) I then applied the decals to the side of the car.
Normally, I like to paint the hoods on these small cars. But I thought I'd try something different. I also created a hood decal, which is why it looks so rough in the pics. The hood is one decal, designed and printed by me. I used 'Solvaset' to get the decals to snuggle down on the body. While I forgot to photograph the back of this car, it has the Silver Horse Racing honeycomb panel. That, too, is a decal. The front grill was painted with a brush, and that's why it looks 'sloppy'. If I was to do it over again, I'd use a decal on the front grill, too.
I'll use the same technique for the fading stripes on the 1/25th Revell, too. Should be interesting...
Stan
PS - In case you're wondering, the two tone Grabber Orange seats for my real car came after the Hot Wheels edition. So this car is pretty much an exact copy of WldTang, at least once I get the seat covers from Classic Soft Trim installed. Here are the back seats:
wow stan, really getting some work done.
we should get together sometime soon, especially after the seats are installed. any idea who is going to do the work? if not i know a couple good upholstry shops in the area.
cant wait for my tax return. also i think i should get to work on my own couple scale models of mine.

Right now, the plan is for me to install these puppies myself. Naturally I have the two front seats and you've seen the rears. If the weather would break I'd go out there and get started. But I'll keep you in mind. These were done by Classic Soft Trim in Austin, Texas. Kinda hard to tell from the pic but these have an orange top stitch on 'em.

Stan, I had to do a double take on that car, good job. So I guess Wall Mart (i even check at walgreens lol!) they have a bunch of adults running to the diecast toys section. I am guilty. It's the first thing I do when I go in no matter what i need. (off-topic) I just sent a request to my FORD store asking for information about a GO!!)))

Luke, Jada Toys is coming out with a 1/32nd Stang in 6 colors. I don't believe they're out yet, but I'd love to get my hands on the orange ones. (A little darker than Grabber, but orange, nonetheless.)
Here it is in yellow... the wheels are almost perfect. Whodathunk?
