I was finally able to find enough time to finish my '05 Mustang Convertible (stated as a Revell kit):

I still have a lot to learn about finishing, but it is only my third or forth model car I built:



The parts should be easily identifiable:
- GT/CS front
- Saleen hood
- Saleen sides
- smoothed rear
- SSE tonneau cover
- smoothed and painted headlight buckets

I have a question, how did you fabricate the ducktail spoiler on the back? If you can give me a few poinerts, I would appreciate it.

 

That's a great job of custom kit-bashing a model.
You should be pround of your skills.

 

Yeah, everything is scratch-built.

For the spoiler, I did the following:
- Spacer on upper rear edge to set angle of rear spoiler
- rear piece (curved to follow trunk lines)
- Top piece (curved to follow trunk lines)
- two side pieces

The spacer was square styrene, which I sanded one side for the angle I wanted. Everything else was thin sheets. Not sure the specific thickness though, as I got one of the odds and ends packs.

Then, just putty the overhang of the side pieces with the rear, and score the trunk lines with an Xacto.

Sorry for the really quick sketch, but since I am a visual person, it is easier to see than say.


I just wish Unique would sell the real one individually (and I still have hope since they sell everything else).

Thanks for the tips friend. I'll have to try that myself, as I want my model to simulate my own car, with a Street Scene Ducktail.

 

That might be a bit more complicated due to the "kink" in the middle of the trunk line and how it "folds" at the end caps, not to mention the third brake light (that is actually part of the reason I chose the Foose spoiler). Good luck with that, and let us know how it truns out!
