For me it just depends on what kind of details im putting into it. Ive got some ive sent over a year on and they are still not finished. On the other I just finished up a 57 chevy in a week. It doesnt look too bad either. (made my grandpa want one (why did I show it to him...).

Thats a 1/25. I dont know exactly what you mean by wiring it up. I do all kinds of wiring to mine. If you mean ignition wires then you can either make or buy pre-wired distirbutors which look really good on them. I make mine.
Ill see If I can find a good picture of the ones that I make.
EDIT: Heres one on a charger motor that I did about a year ago.

i was talking about the ignition wires it just seemed like they were too long and when i cut them they were too short should i just leave them long or do you fit them?

What I do is drill a small hole in my heads and put the wires into them. That way I can leave a little bit of slack into the wire and it will give a more realistic look once you get finsihed because the wires can be oushed down on the intake.
