Hi my names ben and ive been looking around for various mustang models and have noticed that no 67 GT 500e models have been made.. i was wondering if anyone knew what i could do to a normal 67 gt fast back model to make it look like eleanor.... any help would be much appreciated

 

yeah they have a 67 Gt500. but havent seen anyone with a gt500e kit. making one on your own can be done. but i dont know anyone who could do that. try looking online for people would do scratch built model kits. only bad thing is these are usually one off kits so the pricing will be expensive.

 

You could get a GT500 kit, paint it right and then probably find parts off of different models to put on it

 

Nobody make a toy Eleanor in any scale.

I just saw at the local Wal-mart the Eleanor model from the second "Gone in 60 seconds" movie. It was in some kind of "movie stars" type packaging. 1/24 scale. However, I can't find it on the web anywhere.

Please don't misunderstand me - I know that there are a ton of models of the '67 GT350 & GT500, as well as the '68 GT350. GT500 and KRs.

What I'm saying is that no one has yet produced the GT500E as it appears in Gone in 60 Seconds (with Nicholas Cage).

 

yeah bsmith is right there arent any unless someone made it themselves. you could probably do the body mods from other cars. but there arent any versions of the wheel from the GT500E. your best bet is to talk to the people at diecast mustangs and see if they can find anything out for you

Someone has recently come out with Eleanor as it appears in the movie with Nicolas Cage.

I saw the model, that you have to build, at Wal-Mart. It is in a box like the '68 Bullit was that has "Movie Star Cars" or something like that on it.

I just couldn't find it on the web. But I did see a 1/24 scale one at Wal-Mart this past week.

 

That's cool! I've been waiting for somebody to make a GT500E in any scale. I would even build a plastic one if I could find it. If you happen to be in Walmart again sometime, could you check on the company that manufactures this model and post it here? Also, any other details, like is the body diecast, or is the kit completely plastic? etc.

It's diecast. I've seen it at wal-mart too.

It's one of the easy models that is already painted. The detail on it is very good and it only needs glue (included). I think it retailed for $17-ish.

OK, now are we talking about the 1973 Mustang Mach I Eleanor from the original Gone in 60 Seconds, or the highly modified 1967 Shelby GT 500 Eleanor from the remake with Nicholas Cage? I've been looking for an exact replica of the 1967 GT 500 Eleanor ever since I saw Gone in 60 Seconds, and would absolutely love if this is true. Nothing's turned up on eBay yet, so if anyone can confirm this, I'd be greatly appreciative.

 

The one I saw at Wal-Mart was the Nicolas Cage "Eleanor".

 

Oh... WOW. OK, that's pretty incredible. In what part of the country do you live? I'm in North Carolina, and our Wal-Marts are often ridiculously slow to get new items. Suffice it to say, though, this is very exciting for me.

There's a 1/18 Eleanor conversion kit on eBay. Check it out HERE. I'm actually surprised that it's taken this long for the garage kit industry to produce something. I still am waiting for a 1/25 scale conversion kit, so I can build that AMT kit that's been sitting in my closet for years.
