Custom Diecast?

I have looked around the web a little bit in the hopes of finding a way to make a diecast replica of my car. I have found one where I can send pictures to the guy and he will make it for me, but he also charges like 400 dollars. Thats a little more then I would like to spend on a diecast.

So is there a DIY/cheaper way to make a custom diecast replica?

I suppose I could buy a 2008 Performance White GT Convertible, and if its possible to just buy the parts that replicate the ones on my car. If I went that route how hard is it to take parts off and add new parts to a diecast. I have never really done anything like this before.

Thanks.

A member of the forum, AGBullitt, sent me this link a while ago. I think he said the guy only charged him about $100 for the model of his car.

Hope that helps.

Awesome thank you. 100 bucks is a little more doable the 400.

I agree. $400 is way too steep for a model car. Good luck with it, and make sure you post some pictures if you end up getting one.
