'68 GT fastback
Hi folks,
First of many model pics I'd like to share. This one started out as the Revell Bullitt kit. Many, many parts from many different kits went into creating this version. I hand-painted the C-stripes, THEN Keith Marks came out with his decals! D'oh!
By the way - is this pic about the right size? I'd of course like to make them as large as possible without bogging things down for the dial-up users...

Well, the angle of the photograph may make them appear smoother than they actually are - but yes, they're hand-painted. The body color is DupliColor rattle can (as close to 1968 Royal Maroon as I could find).
Here's another '68 fastback I'm working on. This one has a set of the Keith Marks C-stripe decals (in gold). MUCH easier than painting!

I see in that last pic that you have done the same 66 Shelby that I've used to make my fastback model. I've done and redone that thing so many times, I probably know the mdel kit as well as the 1:1 scale version.
I bet I've bashed 6 other different models to make mine:
65 GT350R for body steering wheel and wheels (TT D's)
66 GT350H for hood, grill and rear glass
66 coupe by AMT for gas cap and better tail lights (that's about the only part of that kit that is better than the Monogram)
64 1/5 'vert for the driver's side mirror
93ish GT vert for the EFI and serpentine pulleys
94 GT for seats and shifter
Ok, so there is some wishful thinking in there since I don't have the 5.0 or T-5 in there yet.
Sorry for hijacking, post more pics!

Do you build them just for your own fun or do you enter them in model shows?

I've got a bunch more that I'd like to post before too long. Just have to take the pics...
