Yes, I've found that cheap, classy looking, and fast to be an irresistible combination too. Thanks for the humor.

Thanks for showing a little class Ed.

GT'ers, please keep to fighting the rice and not us 6 banger mustangs.

Yeah there are V6's out there with mods that put a stock or slightly modified V8 to shame. However just think if those mods were made to a V8, no competition.
And had you simply invested your money in a Shelby GT you'd have more HP and resale value... similar could be said of the GT500 and every other Special Edition. The reason your logic doesn't really wash dude is that its ALWAYS greener on the other side of the fence. In other words you can ALWAYS upgrade to the next model up and get more.

Personally I think MN_Mustang06 has the best idea... buy what makes good financial sense and invest the difference. I'd rather drive a V6 today knowing that my money is earning good interest and will provide me greater benefit in the years to come. Smart advice MN_Mustang06!

I will wave anytime, I had a V6 and loved my car. GT or not your a Mustang driver and you deffinetly qualify for a beep, wave,or the good ol' anytime.

I bought my V6 because, A when I bought it at the end of 05, you couldn't find a GT, B. I probably couldn't afford one, C. I like mustangs period. I test drove my 6 and am very happy with it. I think it is definatley cool to have the power and the speed, but the fact is unless you wanna **** of the police, on a 40 mph road, you're gonna go around 40 mph. Wether you have a V6 Mustang or a Viper.

So I really don't have any regrets. I'd rather start saving for that V10 powered Viper anyway than doing any form of trade anyway.

My thoughts exactly vista. I've waved to GT guys and I've gotten the ol' "ignore that crap stain, he's got a V6!" But then, I've also met awesome GT owners. The important thing is love for your car, love for 2005+ Mustangs, and love for the Red, White, and Blue that created this beautiful machine!

I will always wave. I'm just a freindly guy who likes meeting, or in this case acknowledgeing, people with the same interests.

God Bless the USA!!!

I was selling Acuras when that all happened

Pros and cons of this issue could be argued until the end of time.So what if a guy drives a V-6 and has an interest in the automotive hobby.I get chit from Chevy guys all the time when I cruze my Mustang GT...even my best friend who now has an 04' Vette has been critical of my Mustang interest.
I like many here are so lucky to have any car and to have a new Mustang V-6 or V-8 is a blessing. You should see the old school Camaro guys have a different forum for every model ever built,SS,Z-28,RS and plain ol' coupes. They cry about dumb stuff and to talk about posers. They make more clones than anyone I know.
Mustangs are cool and so are the people who drive them.(just a Sunday morning rant)

v6's are almost identical to the gt's except for a few minor details. They look great, they are a little shy on the performance numbers.

I found this used 06 with 7000K. I asked about the wheels at another dealer that offered to check into the car for me. Its been on the lot for a while and they said they could not identify if it had the Pony Package from the VIN number. The logo mays are missiing and the wheels. Torrington CT is where it is at and they have a bunch of V6 verts in.

another. I don't mind the V6 at all. I would have this one on the showroom floor with a set of 17" Bullitts on it and the matts with the logo.

I'm not sure with the base wheels unless they swapped with a buddy before trading it in. See if it has a rear sway bar

We all buy our cars for different reasons. This GT vs 4.0 thing has been beaten to death. Bottom line is they are still Mustangs! Could I have gotten a GT and thrown the same mods on and gone faster...sure! But this is what I decided on, and the friendly folk at the track love seeing people with non-mainstream thinking.
