Your order is *not* clean and unscheduled!

Just when I thought the ERL would never say anything but C&U, my vert got serialized on Thursday. By Friday, they'd identified a build in week of 7/31. So it looks like I'll have a present right around my birthday on 9/1!

Car is a lot like Steevr's: 07 GT vert with cloth top (btw, thanks for the preview photos, Steevr - esp. the new top!)

Specifics:
07 GT Deluxe Vert
5-speed, 3.55:1 gears
17" Bullitts
Torch Red, satin IUP, parchment leather, black cloth top, no wing
Side airbags, bunwarmers, alarm

Good question, I forgot to mention the order date.

Order was placed 5/4/06, so judging from the time from order placement to serialization my dealer's allocation was probably not so great. But the manual trans and the convertible top (especially in cloth) may have played a role as well.

Should be a fairly smooth run from here, though (knock wood).

Hmmm...It will be interesting to see that in parchment leather. I think everyone else who orders Torch Red orders black... Welcome to the queue...

Flash,

Have a look at http://www.brinkman-urban.com/vert_pics/ - it's a collection of photos I pulled from the web during my color search.

Most of the pictures near the top of the page show a Torch Red vert with Parchment leather - I think they came from Road & Track's review article, but I'm not sure.

Also, one of the dealers I shopped had a Torch Red vert with parchment, so I've had one chance to see the combo in person. I didn't buy that car because it was an auto trans.

Cheers,

Bill

Hi lurking,

I'm in CA too - San Jose, dealer in Fremont. I thought 12 days from build date to dealer was a little optimistic, but I'll be happy if it turns out that way Others on this forum have had varying experiences.

Regards,

Bill

Actually, I think that the whole trip from back to front is 25 hours...So like three shifts. I think that my unit got started on 7/18 and finished on 7/19.
