Your Mustang Story: How did you Unite with your Mustang?
Like the title says...
I'm always interested in other people's stories about how they came to choose their Mustang.
I guess I'll start with mine.
As my introductory post stated, some D**k bag stole my 2002 Dodge Intrepid. All in all my insurance company was going to give me much more than it was worth. So for three weeks while Metro police were out not looking for it, and I was driving in a the Pontiac version of a Cobalt rental car, I needed to decide what I wanted to get.
I knew that I wanted a sports car, especially considering that my dad put the Kibosh on that idea five years ago when I turned 16. I wanted power, two doors, and a manual transmission. So my teenage usual suspects came to mind. I was considering an LS1 powered SS or WS6, a 350Z, G35, and an LS2 GTO. I quickly tossed the idea of the LS1 as I knew that I would have a hard time finding exactly what I wanted (I'm a picky bastard) as far as color, mileage, price range, and the fact that I didn't want a third owner car that belonged to a kid that beat on it through high school (one of my buddies in high school had a 97 SS and blew it up twice). Next the G35 went out because they were just way too expensive. All of the 350Zs I looked at had more miles than I cared to take over. So now it was down to the GTO, and again, not what I was looking for either.
At this point I was irritated as hell.
So fast forward a week. I'm driving home from work at 11pm in this stupid cobalt thing pissed off at the world and the exam I had the next day for upper division finance that I needed to study for. (Did I mention that they decided to steal my car during midterms.) I'm in the center lane going through a tunnel and see a white mustang with a black stripe fading down the side with GT/CS scripted on it. I take a closer look at it and notice that it had a different front and rear bumper and side scoops. I thought to myself, "Man, that's a kick *** mustang. I wonder what kind of body kit is on there?"
When I get home I hop online and start looking at mustangs. I get on to Carmax's website and start looking at mustangs. I find some in my price range but I'm still conflicted. Then at the top of the next page I see the exact car that I saw in the tunnel. Its in my price range, Its a stick, It has low miles.
Holy ****!!!! I neeeeeed this. I sent the internet sales guy an email right then and there, and the rest is history, minus the minor inconvenience of having to wait two weeks for it to be transferred from Texas. To make it even better I got a great financing rate and the payment I wanted and was able to drive a month and a half with the windows down while it was still kind of warm.
It was strange that I was never really into mustangs or fords for that matter until that night and now I'm fascinated with them. I wouldn't give this car up for any thing short of an all black Shelby King Snake.
So... Whats everyone Else's stories?

First of all, great story!
I always liked the classic Mustangs ever since I spent a year in high school in Kansas. Being from Germany, you didn't see that many Stangs around over there. A friend in high school had a 64 hardtop - a rust bucket with a huge hole in the passenger side floorboard. But still, that car fascinated me.
When I first saw the concept of the S197, I absolutely loved it. I dreamed the day would come when I would be able to afford such a car. As luck had it, I got a job at a German company right after college who transferred me to Long Beach, CA in January 06.
Since I started all over - new apartment, new car, etc. - I rented a car after I found a place to live to start looking for cars... I had just sold my Mini Cooper in Germany so I had cash but still I didn't think a Mustang would be in my price-range.
Coincidentally, I drove by the Mercedes dealer in Long Beach which had a V6 on the lot. I quickly glanced at it, but 22k for an '05 was out of my price range. I couldn't let it go so I returned the following day just to have a closer look. Of course immediately the sales guys swarmed out towards me. I said that I really liked the car but that I can't spend more than 13k.
He said: I think we can make something work... To cut a long story short, it took me about 3 hours of negotiations with the sales guy and the branch manager, but I ended up paying 16500 off the lot. I picked it up the next day and I still love this car as much as the first day...

Basically we sold our BMW 328ci and I had just sold my Turbo MR2 (show car) so we were looking around at differant cars. We were offered Xplan pricing through my wifes works so we went to the dealership to test drive an Edge. Drove it, i liked it, she didnt because she said she felt like a soccer mom (shes only every had 5speed coupes). So then we looked at the fusion but wanted the V6 and it was not offered in a 5speed (the wife will have nothing but a 5speed in a car). Sooo I (going thru withdrawl from not having a car to mess with) suggested we just "check out" the mustangs while we were there. They had a nice grabber orange GT and the second the sales guy fired it up my wife said she could tell by the look in my eyes that the decision had been made. We drove and we BOTH loved the feel of the car. Ordered an alloy metallic, and a week later we are in a brand new 07 GT.

Have wanted a v8 stang for my entire life, but in Highschool through college I was restrained and drove Ranger's due to insurance cost and snow. Senior year of college I started looking for a 69/70 sportsroof, looked for 3 years and got disgusted at prices/rustbuckets/crappy "fixes". This time last year Ford offering 0% financing on new so I talked to a salesman from the local mustang club. We did a 300 mile search (had to be on a dealer lot for the 0%), never found exactly what I wanted but kept telling him I wanted an exact copy of his personal car. Well this year he had a baby, looking to buy a house, so when he put the car up for sale I jumped! Picked up an 06GT, with 10,000 miles in June 08 for a good price, optioned and colored exactly how I wanted and modded in the exact fashion I would have. I couldn't be happier.

I'm an old-timer. After a couple hand-me-down 4-cylinder imports from my parents, I got my first muscle car at 18 - a 1974 Camaro Z28. 350 cubic inch (5.7 liter) and 4-speed. The car was incredible, and I became a GM guy. After that I had:
1971 Olds 4-4-2 W-30
1965 Corvette convertible 396
1980 Camaro Z28
1984 Camaro Z28 L69
All manuals.
You couldn't pay me enough to get a Ford (or Mopar for that matter).
That is until a co-worker blew my Z28 away with his Ford Capri 5.0! I could not believe it to be honest. A Capri?! But essentially this was a smaller car with a Mustang GT driveline, and it was incredibly fast. So I did some research and found that in the mid '80s, the Mustang was the better car when compared to the Camaro.
So in 1992 I bought myself a 1987 Mustang GT 5-speed with 20K miles and loved it. 6 years later I bought a 1995 Mustang GT with 24K miles and loved that.
Finally, in late 2004 I ordered the 2005 Mustang GT, and have to say that overall, it is the best car I ever owned.

Cars were my life. I am a third generation body-paint man on BOTH sides of the family with the exception of my mother. Uncles, grandfathers, even a cousin or two , did the work professionally for an extended period of time. In our household, we drove just about everything out there that was domestic and would always come back to a Ford product. IMHO , there is nothing out there I like better. When I first saw the 2005 Mustang, it was love at first site! By 2007 the auto business was starting on its way down, but an opportunity would give me a new job, to free up my 401 from the dealership I worked at for 32 years. I am 54 now and knew that if I touched that money, I would be penalized 10% and taxed 10%. But my loaded 08 GT/CS was too much a temptation! Just before the stock market and the economy took a nose-dive I bought the car. My one friend criticized me for taking the money out of my 401 stating "They will beat you up on taxes and penalties plus you are out 34,000 dollars!" But when the stock market plunged, he came back with a different story! Come to find out from that friend that if I left the 401 alone, I would have lost almost half of it, which was more than the car and taxes and penalties combined! He said "you may as well say you got the car for nothing 'cause you would have lost the money anyway!" It truely was good timing (which is the name I gave the car). The name has 2 histories. Mine, and my older brother who had a very fast 48 Mercury coupe back in the late 50's-early 60's. I named it for my good timing and in remembrance and 60th anniversary of my brother's "Good Timing" 48 coupe.

Mine experience was rather simple. When I came back from my mother's funeral in Vancouver, B.C., I got on the Ford site to see what vehicle's might be available to replace my 1998 Taurus. There was a link on the site that said "have a look at our lineup for 2005" when I saw the new mustang built on the 1968 model I knew I had found my next vehicle. I had no problem with the idea of buying the mustang as I had a 1984 & 1998 in the past. With the exception of some initial warranty problems it has been a pleasurable experience. the 05 is essentially a toy these days and is never driven in the winter. Said to say winter in Edmonton, Alberta is 5-6 months long.

In 2004, after having dumped my 1996 Eagle Talon Tsi AWD, I was in the market for something new. I had always wanted an Amercian V8, but I was looking at 350Zs, G35s, STi's, RX8s, to name a few. This is about the time the S197s were being introduced. I saw a picture of an S197 on a mag cover and that's all she wrote. I fell in love with the style. I went to a dealer and bought their only 5spd GT on the lot. It was a black beauty with my name on it. These cars still had markups at this time, but I managed to work out a decent deal.
Sadly, in December of '07, I was in a bad wreck and that car is gone. I settled my insurance claim and I am now the proud owner of the GT/CS pictured in my avatar.
I had never really been a Mustang fan prior but this car reeled me in. Now I'm a hardcore Stang lover.

I was at the NACE convention and saw the 05 concept and just stared in awe. I've always wanted an old muscle car, but never had the body/paint skills to fix one up, and never had the money to buy one in good shape.
After I came home from NACE, I began looking on the internet for the 'new Mustang' information and stumbled across a website with a ton of information called TheMustangSource. I read a bunch of info and found out that guys had already ordered them and wished I could afford one. Then I got to thinking... it's just a Mustang, not a Maserati. I found posts saying about people were ordering them at $500 over invoice. When the bell clicked that I could afford one, and I got on the phone and started calling trying to find a dealer willing to take my offer of $500 over invoice. Finally found one 2 hours away, placed my order, waited about 6 months, and the rest is history.

Let me start by saying great stories
My family is very performance/car oriented. Dad worked for a part of Comp Cams called RHS (Racing Heads) for for around 20 years. We started Eagle in '91 and since I was a kid I've known I wanted a fast car and a fun project was somewhere in my future.
Fast forward to 2006, getting ready for college and doing a bit of car shopping because I had fallen in love with how much the knew mustangs were like my grandad's '68. I had been looking and nearly bought 2 on separate occasions but something changed my mind. It was also extremely hard to find a 5 speed at the time around here. I had about 12k saved to put down and I was going to pay the rest off over time, and I finally found this one on a lot close to us. First time I had seen this color to, and there were two. Mine was pretty well optioned and the other was bare bones, and that's the one I told my parents I was going to buy. Well two weeks later and I'm working on a project for school and my dad walks in, keys in hand and says "what, you can't hear me outside?" They decided to surprise me and pay the other half of the car, and then a little extra to get the options and I've never been more surprised. A lot has happened with the car since then but I still get tickled thinking about that first drive

I've always wanted a Mustang in some way shape or form since I started with the Orange Bomb, a 1987 Mustang II, Orange with Tan, hatchback, 4 speed v6.
What a hunk of junk, kept breakin' every three weeks. I loved that car.
I've had Muskrat, as you can see below, and I loved that car too.
My favorite was the Mark VII, a long, plush Mustang GT in effect. LOVED that car, best I've had.
Hopefully Awesome will supersede the Mark for best ever, and she's well on her way.
I was density... uh, I mean Destiny. We are a great match, it was my mistake to even ask for the keys from the keyroom that day, because it sealed my fate, she had to be mine, and was that very night. I had resisted for about 2 weeks while she toyed with my emotions on the preowned lot. She kept calling to me every time I had to go to that store... and she finally won. But I wouldn't trade/sell her for the world now. Best thing I did for myself in a long while.
You can read more in the thread below, in probably more detail than needed, but basically, it was a long time percolating since the S197 was introduced way back in '03(right?) but blossomed fully with my acquiring Awesome. "*Finally.*" - everyone who knows me.
I am a lucky man, seriously. She still gives me a big grin when I see her. Unless I'm really pissed off at something in which case she mellows me out. Love my car. Hope she knows it.

"Total Love At First Site"
It was a very cold January night back in 2003 and we were attending a new and prototype car show there in Omaha, Nebraska. Over at the Ford display area, there seemed to be a big buzz and lots of people crowding around the new cars. I asked what all that was. Someone said they are showing off the new Ford GT coupe and also the new Mustang prototypes over in the future cars area.
Well we walked over to have a look. First the Ford GT proto just blew me away! Shades of the sixties. Hot in red! Then I turned around and saw the new Mustang coupe in Legend lime and thought. OMG: The auto Gods at Ford must have heard my prayer! It was total love at first sight! To describle the emotion of the moment. It was kind of like seeing Angelina Jolie for the very first time! Knowing it just does not get much better than this! I took two quick pictures (Included) when the crowds opened up for a few seconds. But could never get a closeup of the front or rear of the Mustang. One woman in her early forties said " I sold my old '79 Mustang coupe when I graduated from college and have never looked back. But I'm so getting one of these beautiful hotties as soon as they come out!
I had just purchased the Mrs. her new full sized SUV that last fall with a big loan note, so I knew I would have plenty of time to save for this must have Mustang. We have built some fast Fox Mustangs when the boys were back in high school. But have never purchased a brand new one for us. It was like back to the future for me. A second chance to have that '68 Mustang fastback I could never afford when I was a very young man. I had saved all of my money for a brand new Mustang fastback while in the service, but then spent it all going to college, wedding etc.
Fast forward. I first saw the original white GT/CS coupe prototype pictures right here on this website! Said thats it! That is how I would design it for me. After paying off the big SUV loan and also saving every extra buck (while kids were in college) for almost four years, we bought the CalStang for cash! It was an ordered car that someone rejected because it was a 5-speed stick. We got an X-plan killer end of year deal on it and the rest is oh so sweet history!! The most Mustang fun for us ever! Just Love It!! Get yourself a new S197 before they are all gone! "RC"

My story has to go back to the days of Junior year in high school.
My cousin had been given a 1998 mustang V6 for his birthday. Well, by the end of the year he had modified it some and I was in awe of how it looked. A couple of months pass and I found out he was searching for a 1998 Cobra. One day when he was over, we where talking about the car and he mentioned selling it. While rushing over to my dad, I was thinking of ways to spring this idea out. Ironically, he surprised me... with a Chrysler Sebring I was bummed but the car was my first and served me well. The seed was planted but Ford would have to wait to reel me in.
Senior year rolls around and my cousin cannot stop talking about the new mustang. We look it up online and I start to drool. The S197 is a thing of beauty. My dad walks in and cannot stop staring at the screen. I will not forget that night. We had a great conversation about his old Boss 302 and the memories. I wanted an S197 mustang. It was stuck on our minds for weeks and one day he's foolishly obvious that something is up. We drive to a dealership lot where a black 2005 V6 with an automatic tranny is sitting on the lot. I could not believe it when my mom said, "Here's a little graduation bribe."
I went two years with this mustang and some how remained bone stock During those two years I learned a lot about Ford, Mustangs, and the S197 specifically. That's when a little remorse started to hit. I wanted the V8. The search for the next S197 started with six months of scouting. In the begining of the search I wanted another black S197 auto with little options so that I could mod to taste. I was close to that until the deal went south. Towards the end of my search, the goal had switched to a performance white Gt with no options and a 5-speed. My mother had convinced me to get a 5-speed stating, "There's nothing like having full control of the car. YOU driving it."
No luck in my search though. January 1st comes around and I've had it. I drive to the local dealership and start talking to them. Nothing is appealing me but I'm set on finding her. Something told me I would walk out with one. I'm about to leave when they throw two more papers at me - the last two they could think of showing me. The car didn't sound so bad but, a GT/CS? It was the total opposite of what I wanted. I had never looked into them because I didn't like the wheels (at the time ) and wasn't digging the hood scoop. I walk out towards it and I could not hide my smile. The smile only kept getting bigger the more I stared at her. Beautiful performance white. 5-speed. Navi. Ambien lighting. Two tone interior. Total opposite of what I had been searching. I had to have her.
Lucille (that's what I named her) is so meaningful to me because of what it stands for. Independence. It was bought with my own hard-earned money. I appreciate what my parents did for me in Senior year but it never felt like MINE. The S197 is timeless and I know this car will not leave me until maybe later down the road to hand off to a future son (if I'm not selfish ). It was the best way to start the year and has brought forth so many memories and friendships made. It's such a great feeling to get in, turn the key, and start the day off with a rumble. Happy 2009 to all May we continue enjoying our lovely Mustangs
Funny how this thread comes up the night before my one year anniversary.

I think that defines a Mustang, for any generation. These cars are like crack, but much more addicting

In December of 2004 my 89 Buick Regal with 260,000 miles was having issues with the transmission. I had the Regal since it was new and it was a good car that served me well. With a slipping transmission and other issues, I needed a new car. Just by luck I went to a town north of my home to pick up a prescription for my dad and spotted a new Mustang in the lot of the Ford Dealership. I pulled in and it was a 05 V6 Mineral Grey Metallic with no spoiler and automatic. I loved the look of it and hoped it was available. It had just come in and the town is a retirement area with many of the residents out of town for Christmas. The car was mine if I wanted it.
After about 3-4 hours, I was able to drive off in the car and was even happier to get rid of my Regal before it died. They had another Mustang on the lot with more options and a beautiful blue color, but I was already settled and happy with my first choice.
4 years later and I still enjoy the car. It has been trouble free and I was so lucky to get it with the lack of Mustangs in Southern AZ at the time. For months I only knew of 3 other people in my area with one. It turned heads all the time because it was so rare to see them. Our local dealer had only 2 for about 6 months.

i have all been a mustang and camaro fan since i was 15, i owned 67, 68, 69, 78. & 87 camaro' s & 66 ,71, & 85 mustangs. For the last couple of years i started saving for a new car, i was waiting for the new camaro but they kept putting it off, so i started looking at the new mustangs, i felt this was a good choice since the mustang has been around for a long time & has a good rep, so i started looking around & was a little confused due to all the different options, some looked good some did not, so every weekend i would go to 3 different dealers looking around but could not find that right car, at first i was planning on buying a v6 new or a v8 used. come july 07 i stpped in dealership & found an black 07 with 7800 miles for 23,000, nice clean car, but i dont likke the all tan interior, i walked in the show room there it was, i knew this was the car for me, the first 08 mustang on the coast { vapor silver} i had to have, but because this was the first 08 on the lot they did not want to negotiate the price very much, so 31,000 later i was the proud owner of the first 08 in the area. but now im working out of town and the car is in storage, i sure do miss her.

I think it was nov'04 at the Cleveland auto show...went for the first time just to get a look at the new GT40 they were supposed to have- well, saw the gt, and was truly impressed- and then noticed the silver 05 mustang they were showing for the first time...was up on a rotator, couldnt crawl under or anything, but looked sweet...Very very sweet.
from there spent a hour at the ford booth- USA assembly?check. USA engine? check. Tranny?mexico?!? well mostly USA so ok, guess that wouldnt totally turn me off...what colors? no blues except windveil? talked to acouple other guys, one said there was going to be another blue but wasnt official yet...cost? gt around 25k base...hmm
then the battle began...3 kids/4 seats...wife kinda had a little problem with that one. OK, kinda a huge problem...
months go by, local dealer gets in a white gt stick- I'm there crawling on the showroom floor (yes literally) trying to pick the car apart, but son of a gun, its built like a tank. I still recall the only thing I didnt care for was the crimped quarter panel lips, fearing potential rust spot that would be tough to fix, and was curious how the heck the 'saddlebag' tank got fuel picked up(I'm still kinda curious- but it works) but other than that, just couldnt fault the car- and I can usually nit pick anything to talk myself out of wanting it...so anyway, the battle at home is back on- but the few months between helped calm things down a bit...she agrees and I go to place a order- two days after the 05 order banks closed...when the 06 order bank opens up, I'm first in line at our dealer on their 2 allocated mustang gts(very small dealer) and 'the wait' begins...I get obsessed(understatement)with the car- watch 25000 vins roll by on orders placed after mine on blue ovals tracking thread, and start getting highly pissed off at fords black hole of a ordering system, and start reading. I found a site with a bunch of ford emails, see structure as first initial/last name at ford dot com, and find some names on media.ford dot com, and write a couple vps about 'why a allocated priority 10 from ohio is three months behind stock orders placed that week in florida', next day I get a new DORA with a regional priority one...30 days later the dealer calls- hauler just pulled in...camera, favorite CD in hand, off to the dealer- my boss actually had a coworker take me in the shop truck to pick it up- he wanted to see it too as its all i'd talked about for months. We get there and uh-oh...carhauler smashed the spoiler/decklid/quarter panel with the ramps on his rig- the guy seemed irritated they were holding him up doing the damage paperwork, no 'sorry' even...I'm about livid- all these months, there it is, I still cant even get a test drive. time change was that weekend, knew if I didnt get it then, it would be next year before I could do anything with it(obsessively had already decided no rain/no winters/no abusive driving/etc) but after waiting so long, still I wanted to take it as-is, bring it back for repairs- nope even that was not allowed...3 days go by, more emails to some higher ups(why cant they sell the car and fix it next week?) finally, I'm done- call the dealer, said just cancel it, wasnt meant to be...for a few hours I'm kinda sad, but realize had I got that car it would have owned me, never woulda enjoyed driving it, etc- was a mistake to get so obsessed with any object.
then my phone rings- oddly regional guy called me(they almost never talk to customers) and said he got a call from a VP and said 'fix this'...said another priority one, guaranteed before Christmas(7 weeks) and guaranteed it would be delivered intact next time ok, another priority one regional dora, and a vin the next thursday.
we're in florida on vacation- the car arrives in ohio the day after we left of course- get home from a 17 hour drive on my wifes birthday, sign the papers, get the keys...I was shakin like a leaf the first time I turned the key- wired from coffeee on the trip + the new car jitters, but that disappeared within a minute of pulling out of the dealership- sounded a million times better than I coulda ever dreamed, comfortable as a old pair of boots, and beautiful...was out of gas(requested no prep/no test drives- still had the plastic all over seats/steering wheel...) went to fill it up and blew gas all over the place after it clicked off...wasnt suprised, had read about the issue. oddly that was one of only two times its ever done it.
this car hasnt been babied like that first one was going to be- its been to the track quite a few times, sits out in the rain, and other than not getting driven in salt or snow, its 'just a car', but a great car...it wont last forever, neither will I, and Ive thoroughly enjoyed ever time Ive had it out...three years old now, still just love to drive it.
this past spring my boss tells me theres a car like mine at local auction place- I half joking tell the wife, she says 'lets go check it out'...pony v6 auto with 8000 miles on it, same color as mine- she bought it (cheep too), and drove it home
she'd never had a 'just for fun' car before, so it took her a few days to get used to it, first time she dropped the kids off at school and heard all the 'cool car' comments, she was hooked- she drives hers summer only too and only had it a week she was asking about sequentials- the kids and I will make her a 'car guy' yet
Ive been watching the teaser pics of the '10 forever- originally hoping it would be ugly so I wouldnt 'want one' and have the dilemma of if to get another or trade in the 06(no way!)...after seeing the pics, to me it was not a car I'd buy- still sharp, but just not for me...so start wondering about if there would ever be another one that would catch my eye like the 05 did...after seeing the reveal, pretty much sure 'modern' styling is returning from here on out, so bit the bullit and got a good deal employee priced 09 identical to the 06, at a few grand less...the last of the best, to my eye anyways...
much as I hated the thought of a car payment again, I really think they will never ever be cheaper than the 08/09 deals today, and who knows if a V8 will even exist in 10-15 years...I dont care if a ecoboost 4 cyl can outrun me or not, it wont sound like a mustang to me, and its not a racecar- except for fun test and tune days at the track So we're sitting on 3 of them...whenever the 06 rusts away/gets stolen or wrecked, I'll know where to get a brand new one, and its a safe bet even if just a couple years down the road the current model will cost a lot more then anyway- IF ford survives, IF the V8 remains, and IF the body looks 'right'...
God willing, the 06 might be around another 10~20 years and the garage wont fall on the 09- but even if they were all lost tomorrow, guarantee I'll remember these great cars till i'm gone. And if I'm gone in a few years, I think the wife and kids will easily get the money back out of the 3.1 mile 09, so think its a pretty safe investment (probably safe as anything else these days...)
jeez- I wrote a book again

It was a good book though! I see you are a huge fan of blue- especially dark blue. That was my dilema when ordering my '08. Vista Blue or Dark Candy Apple Red ? The red got the nod. I'm confused, do you live in Ohio or Florida?

My first experience with a Mustang was driving my sister's '69 when I did not even have a license...think I was about 14 years old. I loved that car. However when I was old enough to drive I ended up with a '74 Firebird. I always wanted a Mustang but did enjoy the Firechicken. I went through several different cars/trucks over the years.... another Firebird, a Dodge Stealth and 2 Explorers.. one that I still own.
In loved the new S197 body style. I dreamed of having one. My father owned a 2000 Mustang and told me he was planning on getting the new Mustang. Then he explained that he and Mom were planning on buying me one too, to my surprise! I knew exactly what I wanted. We went to the dealer together and he found a '07 Alloy Pony package that was exactly what he wanted. He then surprised me that I could get the GT...not just the 6! However I could not find what I wanted on the lot. The dealer searched but only came up with something "Close". I finally decided to get it and to add on the things that I originally wanted once I had the car. Paperwork was signed and on my way home I got a call from the dealer. There was a problem with that car and they could not get it from the other dealer. I turned right around and decided to order my car and wait for it!!!!!
I got back to the dealer and we sat together and put together my GT. I waited 8 weeks for it, and those were long weeks, but the day I picked it up it was love at first sight.
I chose the car in Vista blue for two reasons.....one because it was my husbands choice of color, and the other because it was like a sapphire......my birthstone and my Mothers too.
My Mom passed away in September of '07 after a tremendous battle with cancer. I thank her every time I get behind the wheel. I will never sell it.
