I just got the most incredible news I could imagine. I was home visiting my parents this weekend. I have talked their ear off about the 05 Stang, same with my wife. My step-dad, who has been a mechanic for 20 years, has always given me advise on cars. My mom said that he needed to talk to me about the 05. I was a little nervous at first.

My step dad asked how much the car would be. I said nothing is official. He said; "Well, when you get back home, I want you to go to the dealer and order the Mustang you want." He said, "We (my mom and him) have decide to give you $25k towards the 05 Mustang." :shock:

WOW!!!I had to do a double take. They said since I have always helped them out and kept my life on a good track, they wanted to reward me. Of course I do not get any more birthday or christmas present for ... the rest of my life. I consider that a fair trade.

I could not drive home faster. Unfortunately, it was Sunday and I have to work all day today. Darn this full time job

So I should be able to make it to the dealer tonight after work.

My order will be:

Redfire Premuim GT with Dark Charcoal interior.
5 speed manual :drive:
Shaker 500
17" Bright cast aluminum wheels
anti-theft
IUP

This will be my third Mustang (76 & 95), but the best by far.


I was happy that I was expecting to finance an 05 in Dec or Jan, but now I am just speechless.

 

Congrats!!! You are probably going to have to cut their lawn forever now though.

 

I still have to re-gain conciousness before I do anything.

I hated to sound like a rich spoiled son, cause I'm not. Usually if I get any help I have to pay everything back. This is the first big gift I have gotten.

Went to the dealer last night (7/26/04) and put the order in. Redfire GT, IUP, Shaker 500, Alarm, bright AL wheels. The dealer and his sales manager was impress with my knowledge (thanks to this site). They even asked if they could copy my order guide and brochure. I told them about this site and gave them the address.

They still seemed unsure of their delivery. On guy said Nov, the other said late Sept. I will just expect mid-Oct.

 

Kluski, congrats on your news and your order ! That was an incredible gift, and I can only imagine how surprised you must have been. I bet your happiness and excitement bring equal happiness and excitement to your folks. On that much anticipated date of delivery, make sure you make a trip to your folks house to show it off

My salesman is not speaking to me because I turned his sweet orange 04 down. Now I have to find a new one, and dangit, it took me a long time to train this one right.
So needless to say, I still have yet to order my 5.

 

My parents are coming up to hand deliver the check and hang out for the weekend. I will make sure my step-dad has the honor to drive it first. :worship: I think he is just as excited. He told me he had a 67 Stang. He pulled off the dealer lot and opened her up. A few miles down the road he got pulled over and promptly received a speeding ticket. That beat my record. I bought my second Stang on a thursday and got a ticket that Saturday. Fortunately my tickets have been more than 4 years ago, so insurance is reasonable.

 

Also want 18" rims, and illegally tinted windows...

Someone came pretty close to my chopped car, but didn't do the windows... here it is!!!

 

Titanium convertible GT (with black convertible top), leather seats (still unsure on whether or not I want red or black), and 18" wheels.

 

My 05 Mustang will be silver shadow metallic transparent in color and will feature a whisper quiet exhaust system and the less wind noise than any of yours ..

Satin Silver GT Deluxe with Shaker 500 up-grade, IUP, Dark Charcoal Interior etc. Dealer has all my info but says he can't actually put in the order & can't give me a time frame on when he will be able to. Has anyone actually order their cars? If so, I will be looking for a new dealer first thing tomorrow. I noticed that several people have mentioned on their list that they want the 05 concept hood. Is this possible? My dealer in poe dunk Tennessee really needs to check out this site as you all know far more than he does!!!!

Dark Charcoal, White Stripe, and Manual are all I am firm on at this point. I am driving myself and everyone around me insane.

Yes. A lot of our cars are already submitted to the factory. I'd look for another dealer if I were you because they can definitely order them and have been for quite some time now.
