Found this on IMDB when researching the Movie

Picture Cars East was doing stunt tests on the 2008 Mustang Shelby GT500 to test the new car showroom stunt. They had a 27 foot run up to the ramp, and are jumping the Shelby through a plate glass window. In the test they were doing the landing on boxes to not harm the fairly rare car. On the first test they ripped out the radiator, and radiator support. They had to cannibalize a regular Mustang for parts to continue the test.

Nice, now can we get one w/out Will Smith blocking the view? Who's the legend here?

Nice poster, I hadn't seen that yet. The trailers for the movie look pretty good too. Maybe it's just the GT500 though... lol

There is a tv show about a shop in New York that does cars for movies and stuff, they're the ones that provided the GT500's for the window jump. I think they have 2 episodes on that, one of the setup and practice, the second of the final stunt.

Hmm that should be interesting. I am assuming the film is based on the book of the same title - all about vampires and such taking over humanity. I'm not normally into that type of thing but I found the book quite interesting. It's funny how they're using a Shelby, although I can't imagine Will Smith as the main character.

Well, now for sure I'm going to see it in theatres

I didn't realize that this was a book as well. I may have to hit up Borders tonight, I've been looking for something to read. Would you say it's worth it?
