ARGH!!! Gotta love paying for a car you're not driving!!!

I hope insurance at least gave you something other than a Focus to drive.

All-in, around $12K. Probably a low number due to use of chimp labor (based upon how long it's taken!!!). I was going to push for a write-off, but didn't want to wait for a new Stang - oh, the irony!!!

4 weeks they said it would take!

I must surely have some recourse? This is bull! I doubled my car payments when I turned in my pos for the new car. What the h3ll am I paying for??? I'm driving this pos Pacifica - if I wanted a dull, soulless piece of junk, I'd have stuck with the old car and saved myself a ton of cash!!!

I understand your frustration but Lets just hope all the time in the shop means a darn good job on the repairs..and paint -

If it comes back as good as new - I say its worth the wait...

I'm in the same boat. To a lesser extent.

They told me my repairs would take 4 days and I have been waiting 3 weeks now for a rear body panel to come in. Every day they say it should be here any day now.

I'm stuck with a crappy Malibu. I loath that car!

I just keep thinking, if only I had taken the short way home.

:bang:

Have you considered asking for Diminished Value compensation?
Here is a site I found with some information:

http://www.diminishedvalue.com/

Good luck! I hope your wait ends soon.

sorry to hear that you are still waiting....i can't even imagine what you are going through. i was without my car for only 4 days to have the hood repainted and i thought i was going to lose my mind! (oh...and 2 days after i got it back, a semi truck decided to hit me from behind so now i'm preparing myself mentally for more separation anxiety...)
i really hope you don't have to wait much longer and i hope that the body shop does an excellent job fixing your stang. Good Luck!
