I went to one of my local dealers today to get a quote for an 05 Mustang GT. I will be ordering in the next week or so and want to make sure I get the best deal. I have the X Plan available thru my job, so I went to see about what I was going to be out. I will be getting it no matter what, but every penny saved is a penny put toward mods!

Anyway, these are my options:

Black GT Premium
IUP
Red Leather Int. upgrade
auto.
shkr 1000
anti-thft
rear spoiler delete
standard wheels

Quoted price: $27,311.91

Anybody else who has purchased/ordered one with similar options, please reply, thanks!

Sounds about right. Mine was 26400 with auto, IUP, ICAP, auto, Side airbags, and anti-thft. Take off side airbags and add shaker 1k and you should get about your price. There's a pricing guide located under the timeline link above that will let you calculate very acurately.

I have the sheet at work, but if I remember right, the x-plan price on the GT i was looking at (not auto, NO Shaker 1000!) was within $100 of the dealer invoice price (higher I think). I didn't pay too much attention to the x-plan price because I am getting d-plan, about $1100 below dealer invoice for my car... !

Thanks for the fast reply. I wasn't sure if they were being 100% with me, because I have been to 3 differnet dealers here in Little Rock, and so far all had told me that they would not honor the X Plan on the new mustang. I knew other people on these boards had already gotten there's using it so today when Dealer C said he too would not honor it, I said that Dealer A had already offered it to me. They didn't want me to go back so they said they would make an "exception" for me. I had them put my options in the computer and make a print out and sign it before I left. Dealers around here are not wanting to let them go without getting a nice cut. The only one they had on there lot stickered at about 34K w/out the IUP!

I a bit of an advantage there. My mom works at the dealer that I am ordering my car from. She signs the salesmen's checks, so I don't have to worry about the games any at all.

That sounds about right. According to FordDirect.com, a GT with the options you've stated would have an MSRP of $29,320.

Do you have your partner code? Go to fordpartner.com and enter it. Then when you go to forddirect.com it'll have a cookie that recognizes you as an xplan buyer. Put in your options and it'll show you the xplan price (or at least you can check it against similar vehicles).

It sounds about right though.

First off, I am new to the board, have been reading post for a couple of months, so Hi everyone.

X-Plan buyers did you have to give the dealer your PIN # before placing an order or do you give this PIN when you finalize your finacing or pay for your order.

Also, I went to a local dealer this past weekend to FINALLY test drive a GT ( Have been looking for weeks and finally found one to drive) it was a Mineral Gray GT, auto, cloth, ....... not interested. Sales person said they would sell any on their lot at X-Plan and even offered me the gray GT at 24,600.... a little odd.

The sales manager told me they would order for X-Plan with no deposit required ...
anyone find this a little odd.

Xplan is a non changeable price, he puts your options into the computer it tells him the xplan price. It cannot be adjusted, make sure you have a print out with the bottom line.

Thanks Altoid

Do you take the xplan printout and "go get finaced" if your taking that approach or go to your lender with MSRP price.
Also the sales mangager said no deposit needed for xplan orderes, is this normal?
Sorry for the novice questions never ordered new, and never bought on xplan.

If you can get X-plan, that's your bottom line, plus tax/licensing. Also, figure in any deposited you might have had to put down and what you’re putting into your down payment.

Deposites very from dealer to dealer. Mine gave me the option and I put down money since I wasn't a factor to me and I figured it would show I was serious and they would get cracking on it ASAP.

No problem, if you got more questions let me know.

I haven't checked pricing in a while, and don't have the time right now,
but I believe at one time if you were getting the shaker 1000 and leather
seats it was cheaper to get the deluxe and add these on as an option.

If you're looking to try and save a buck it might be worth looking in to.

I just got my pin# for the x-plan through my company. I have been reading all the posts on this subject and there is a ton of info. I have contacted a local dealer and trying to confirm if they will honor the plan. Now, as soon as I find out I will make the order for a Legend Lime GT w/ the options I want. Then put down a deposit. The dealer est'd late March early April at the earliest. Anyone have any advise to offer on what I should be looking for? Are the steps I am going through correct? Any help would be appreciated. I will try that website to see if I can get the x-plan price for what I will order.

Again, any help would be appreciated.
