Hey All,

For those using the X plan I need to find out what demographic information you had to supply. I was contacted by someone who indicated that they could convey a PIN# that I could use, but they wanted my full name, address, phone and last four numbers of my social. The offer appears genuine, and I surely do not want to miss an opportunity to save money on my order. My dealer is asking that I pay Sticker with a few hundred off as a sign of good faith.

In this day and age, I'm not comfortable supplying that info. unless I'm sure it's standard procedure. Can any of you attest that this is what you had to supply (If receiving the Pin from a FORD emplyee)

Thanks,
Jim

That's the info I had to enter in order to get my x-plan PIN from www.fordpartners.com so I'd say that it's legit. It's probably all used in generating a unique PIN.

Pretty standard stuff, the info they are requesting sounds about right, plus my e-mail address.

They also asked what kind of car I'm currently driving.

Aftewards they send me an invitation e-mail to access this site:
https://myplan.ford.com

The x-plan is the way to go. I was in and out of the dealership in 30 min and got my fully loaded GT (5-spd manual) for $27.6k out the door.

I was getting my car at $500 over invoice, but I just got an x-plan pin so now it's less.

I had to give the same info for mine.

Can you combine plans? I know X-Plan allows good savings. Then Ford has a rebate for recent college graduates (like $400?). Since I qualify for both, I was wondering about that little gem....

I believe that you are still eligible for rebates but I can't confirm that.

Is X plan cheaper than 500 over invoice? My understanding was xplan is 4% over invoice? Oh and yes, rebates are available with Xplan.

My father is a manager of a dealeship here in WNY. my understanding is that x-plan (factory workers and family?) is the cheapest you can get and is under invoice. I get all those letters confused maybe its A plan and D-plan I am thinking of for workers and family....???? Either way rebates are added to the savings....

My understanding of the calculation for x-plan is a-plan cost +4% and $150. I ordered one on x-plan and it turned out to be 38 dollars over invoice. YMMV

They will check out the person who gets the PIN# on x-plan, to verify that they work for a qualifying company, the PIN# will be invalidated if the info is false. FYI

I work for TRW and have been using X-Plan for over three years. The national incentives ( financing and rebates) are valid with X-Plan. I use a "fordpartners" website to generate my PIN which requires just a "Company Code" to login. Once you are logged in, to generate the PIN you need name, address, e-mail, and last four of social security number. They originally required that you provide Company Id at the dealership, but since I've used the same dealership, I'm not sure if you still need to prove company affiliation.

The X-Plan is A-Plan plus 4% plus $150.00 and they can not add any dealership "paperwork" type fees.

I also agree it is the fastest way to get done with a deal.

My salesman told me the x-plan would be about $600 less than my original deal (invoice +$500), and wouldn't change much of anything on his end.

That sounds legit to me. I haven't done mine yet but the guy getting me my x-plan said that all he would need was my name, address and SS#. He says they use that info to make sure that the person giving out the x-plans is not having people re-sell the cars quick for him or them to make a profit.

Alright..now I'm confused.

I thought A-plan was 2% under invoice and X-plan was 2% over invoice. Per pricing sheet, where does A-plan start? Does A-plan = Dealer price or do we calculate A-plan at 2% under Dealer Invoice w/Holdback price?

Ok...so Dealer Invoice W/Holdback (DIWH)

A-plan = DIWH - 2% or A-plan = DIWH

Thats about right, because the price goes down about $400 and the processing fee goes away entirely.

A-plan = DIWH - 2%
X-plan = A-plan + 4%
