O5StangGT....Here is my scenario.

My father runs a small business that sells to ThyssenKrupp Budd. My dad has bought cars under the x-plan before. It has been nearly 10 years though, so things could have changed. His company isn't a ford partner obviously, but a good friend of his at Budd said I could use their company code. I would like to get the X-plan, but don't want to get my dad's friend in any sort of trouble. The car will be under my name, since I am buying it obviously. Is it alright to use his?

My guy at the dealer isnt there today, so I will have to call tomorrow.

You need to be sure that your Dealer is accepting X-Plans first of all. Also, yes the plans will require a SSN. I will generate the pin number and provide it to you once I have collected the information. X plan's are for friends, neighbors, etc and I consider the first 6 people to reply my "forum friends". If it helps you purchase a Ford vehicle, then I am doing my part as a Ford employee.

Hahah you're trying to get the diecast Ford GT(40) signed by Bill Ford Jr

My dad is still stubborn about giving out his X plans.
That may be the case Amy...... However, sharing xplan's with friends and neighbors is what the plan calls for. I'm not selling them, nor breaking any a/z plan rules. All of this is legit....I promise! B)

For those of you that gave me you SSN's, I do need them to process your membership and obtain the PIN for you -- though I might just need the last 4. Don't worry, I am NOT a crook or a thief....you have my Ford email with my work number and all my info right there. If this was no legit, you could call Ford and rat on me!!! [/b][/quote]
Just messin' with ya

I think it's a great idea myself. Got a few friends that want to order, but are either waiting until they see the vert in person or waiting to see Legend Lime in person.

A friend of mine in Delewhere has seen neither. My dad's like.. bring her up to my work.. we have 3 verts there. d'hur :bang:

No offense taken at all Amy! I know that some are a little sketchy with giving SSN's and personal info, so I understand the hesitations.

So are you waiting for the vert?

Max, you should just be able to get the xplan PIN from your Dad's friend. I would definitly contact him and ask, and he can see if he is still eligible by going to axz.ford.com website and try logging on.

Roy --- I'm not waiting for the vert... my friend Sarah is. I'm not much of a vert fan myself. If I lived in a warmer climate.. than maybe

I'm just waiting it out a little and see what the Speical Editions look like and if I can afford one haha So, actually I'm waiting until I can score a better job

The only way your are eligible is if you personally work for a company that is a partner.

KarPro, ummm, the XPlan FAQ posted earlier in this thread say differently. I personally dont work for a Ford partner, and this car was originally going to be registered in my name with hubbys XPlan PIN. Ford had no issues, and neither did the dealer or hubbys company.

Ok.. here is the best way to do it, if a member offers an Xplan PIN, use the PM feature to get in contact with them. Not good to post your email address on the boards.

Hey GT, any unspoken x-plans left? Dont know if I can use one, however I am going 'shopping' tomorrow and if I find a dealer willing to accept the x-plan I would be interested in using it.

My Xplan price is $89 over invoice. Not bad... Almost tempts me to buy a V6, but, naaaaaaaaaaaaah. I am putting half of the total price down anyway. My payments are going to be pretty low.
Thanks. I'm thinking about getting a 6-er for a daily driver. It'd be a fun auto-x car

I'm sorry, you are correct, it is you or your spouse. The point I was trying to make is that having your Dad working for a company that gets x-plan is of no value to you.

Karpro, maybe I am not reading something right, but, from what 05stangGT is saying, XPlan is for all friends and family of Ford, or Ford Partners. I believe the spousal rule comes into play with the A Plan.

05stangGT, can you help clear this up, please?

There are 2 seperate X-Plans. One that Ford Employees have which is the friends and Family, the employee can give away PINs to whoever they want too. The other X-Plan is for Ford Partners, these are companies that do business with Ford either as a supplier or they buy fleet vehicles. This X-Plan is only good to the employee and their spouse, the employee must purchase the vehicle and keep it registered in their name for at least 6 Months. Hope this helps clear any confusion.

only thing im concerned about is that the dealer told me that the x-plan is for family members and they will check if the person is in ur family. soo i think to myself yea let them do a family tree check on me. if someone has been thru the process please inform us!!
